Vet surgeon in CT Does anyone had experience working with Dr. David White , I believe out of Brokton Animal Hospital or Cheshire vet Hospital. I am going to have a Luxating Patella surgery done on my dog. Also please help me to prepare for this. I am worried but the whole process. Both of us work and we are planning to have a family member stay with the dog after the first week. thank You

Best Wishes... The after care is very important. Your dog needs to be crated or carried, as they can re-injury the patellas. I believe LP recovery is at a minimum of 8 weeks. Each week gets better and better though My advice is to make sure you are having a Board Cert. Ortho Vet do the procedure AND that they are doing the cut and pin type of LP surgery

I'm not cetain exactly how far you are from Stamford but we like the surgeon Rippowam Animal Hospital. He has a good reputation. Maybe check it out? I'm sorry that your baby has to go through this but we will pray for a speedy recovery!
