Carrier for 2 on airplane

I'm going tomorrow to check out a new store in Riverside; I heard they are selling puppies which doesn't make me happy but I am going to see what is going on there....I heard they had some nice carriers.

Yes Itzi is a licensed service and therapy dog. He has traveled with me on airplanes to Orlando, Vegas, Texas, Arizona and later this month to Kansas City. As a therapy dog we have gone to the Veteran's Hospital, Children's Hospital, the school's reading program, and the library's program for disadvantaged children/readers.

As a service dog, Itzi is a Hearing assisted dog and medication dog for me--he reminds me when I need a reminder to take medications.

how did you get him sanctioned as such. Doctor's note???

Those wheeled ones at Target would probably fit two and then you don't have to carry it around the airport either. You lay it down on it's side in the plane and I would think it would fit under the seat and they can stretch out. Just a thought. I saw some marked down to around $25 at a Target store last week.

If you read the reviews lots of people used them for airline travel.

There is also someone on here who sells some similar to these that can also be used like a back pack and she will paint your yorkies, etc. on it too! Can't remember who it was, though.

Most airlines will let you take two in one carrier as long as the combined weight doesn't exceed 20 pounds. Look into getting the carriers on wheels (and that say airline approved) since it's so much more easier to walk around terminals.

I bought one of those carriers that are on wheels--and guess what it is too big for under the seat.

One of the girls told me that she took the dogs in a carry on, placing it in a dog stroller. When she got to the door of the plane, the flight attendants took the stroller and put it inside (folded up) and gave it back at arrival--just like they do with a baby stroller. Do you think this would work--kills 2 or 3 birds with one stone.

The certification for service dog was 40 hours group classes, 20 hours individual work with the trainer, and 20 hours of the trainer working with the dog without me.

Therapy dog training was 20 hours working under supervision of the trainer at the hospital, library, school, etc. after passing the organizations' assessment of the dog training and testing as well individual therapy training and assessment--

a doctor's note--that would have been easier now that you mention it.....
