| Questions Regarding Air Travel within USA that someone posted I checked with the airlines recently and they told me "I don't need a health certificate nor his shot records". Why did you mention this~? Does my baby need to go thru the scanner like I do~? |

| For a domestic flight you do not need a health certificate. As a general rule for domestic travel, I always have Remy's rabies cert with me, along with his microchip info and a photo of him - but these are not required by the airline. He must be in his carrier while in the airport. When you go through security you will need to carry him (out of the carrier). In flight he is technically required to remain in his carrier, but we have found the enforcement of this to vary widely. Many times I have Remy out of his carrier. | I think they've changed the rules for domestic flights recently and you do not need a health certificate for these flights. However, for your own dog's well being it's not a bad idea to do it anyhow. Travel can put a lot of stress on a dog and he can get sick from the stress. |
