| I couldn't agree with you more. I even take Kaji to church with me every Sunday and he just sits there until mass is over. He's the most well behaved "baby" there! Maybe I'm biased because he is MY baby?

| When we travel I take Fancy with us but if I were going somewhere that she absolutely not go then I would probably leave her with my dad. I know that he would watch after her and take good care of her. I think I would be too nervous leaving her at a doggy daycare/boarding kennel. Your breeder would be great though. Please stay away from craigslist - there is no telling what could happen with that.

| I always asked family , gave me peace of mind too knowing they'd be around someone they already knew.. my sister has neighbor that comes over and walks and feeds her cats while she's away. Too me though my pup would miss being around a person, cats like to be independant. JD wouldn't have no one to follow room to room... good luck!

| I love children, but I think about your point every month when I have to pay extra rent just to have my little Sophie. She has never destroyed anything, yet my neighbor's 3 children run wild, trash the place, and leave their stuff everywhere as if it's a junkyard. And yet I pay extra and she does not. |

| I totally agree I would not trust my babies with some one I do not know. I would try to take them with you!! My little boy loves to come on vacation with us! Otherwise I would rather pay a family member than someone I dont know. If you cant take them leave them with your family or best friend! Have fun on your trip! |

YT 2000 Club Member | We have left our little girls with the vet in the past for short vacations, but we are going to be gone for a longer vacation this year also and I am afraid to leave them also. I think they would feel abandoned and I would feel lost without them for that long, they are my girls. So, we are going to take them with us and prob. rent a pet friendly house this time instead of a hotel so they can have a yard for exercise.

| We are taking a cruise in June, so he obviously can't go. When this happens, we board him at the Vet's office. $10 a day...and I feel comfortable knowing if anything happens, he is in the right place! |

| You all must have very nice family. No one in my family was willing to take care of Roxie when we asked them. I had a friend all set up to do it, and they have now backed out as well. I feel better after reading the posts about boarding the pups at the vet's, because it looks like that is what we are going to have to do when we go away in April. It's more expensive than $10 a day, and we have to have an exam and vaccination done before they will board her, but it's really our only option at this point.

Our Vet was $7 a day..but he has just recently built this Huge state-of-the-art bldg. and he has gone up in price. Which is fine..since I feel comfortable leaving him there. It will be hard for you, but Roxie will be ok. | |

| We are going through the EXACT same thing....we had a friend all lined up, but I dont feel comfortable anymore so canceled. We can take them, we have a hotel booked that will take pets, so if we have to we will, I just know there are places they can't go, and we would have to leave them in hotel, and I just dont feel comfortable with that.(not worried about noise or anything they are good lil ones) more worried about someone taking them.... uggggg! i don't know what we will do....vet isn't an option, they charge way to much...and I cannot board them...I want them to be with ppl that will love them everyday..
