| ive never travelled with mickey but i heard people taking their dogs into the bathroom to let it pee and feed maybe you can do that! because not being fed for the whole ride is mean!!!! like if you're on a long flight and they only give you snack! (my 6 hr over night flight is only giving me snacks!!! i think thats mean! lol) |

| YT 500 Club Member | Yes, I will definitely feed Meg AND let her pee! I can't imagine being cramped in a carrier for such a long flight. I hope she does okay. Jenzy, we should get together when you arrive in Korea!

| Are pastes (like Nutrical) even allowed on flights to the US anymore? A dog who is prone to hypo should eat about every 1-4 hours. I would not change that schedule and I would not give just Nutrical if it is avoidable. On top of her already being predisposed to hypo, she will be stressed. I would try to get something into her every hour or two even if that means opening her mouth, sticking food in and closing it. Maybe try something like ZiwiPeak just for the ride? I think it is jerky-like food but I guess there would be a bit of a choking concern.

![]() I don't think I could take Nutri-Cal on the plane unless my vet put a prescription sticker on it. Or I'd have to squeeze a little into a plastic baggie.

| I'm not sure they would let plastic bags of mystery paste on either. I would go the precription route and have your vet sticker the tube or something. They still may want to give you problems but I'm not sure. They weren't letting toothpaste on for awhile or certain liquids, so I'm sure they'd see a problem with Nutrical unless the restrictions have been lifted.

| YT 500 Club Member | I'll probably end up getting my vet to prescription sticker the Nutrical, or I'll put a tiny bit in a sandwich baggie at the bottom of my bag. I have done a ton of traveling, albeit without a dog, and I don't think they'd notice if I had just a bit in a baggie. I just ordered two different bags: one I will probably only keep one and end up selling the other on YT or Ebay, but I'm not very good at online shopping since I like to have options, hold things in my hand, etc.

| Just to let you know I have traveled with nutracal and all you have to do is show it to them when you are going through the check area and tell them it's medicine and they will be fine with it. Don't try to just hide it. they are fine with it if you tell them about it.

| I have had great luck with the Sherpa. It's sturdy but still has some smoosh at the sides and top even though all edges are hard and sturdy. My boys enjoy them and have plenty of room. FYI, 1st class or coach, if everyone notices you have a yorkie with you, the flight attendants are usually ok if you take them out of the carrier in flight, they want to see their cute face!! Good luck! |

| YT 500 Club Member | Thank you! I ordered both a Sherpa and another soft-sided bag (Bergan Comfort Carrier). Neither have arrived yet, but I'm very anxious to try them both out. Quote:
