| car rides caden doesnt travel to much by car. when he does, it is only for about 20-25 minutes at a time. he is fine and calm for that ride to his vet. but, now since i take him to Sammy's specialist appt. every 2 weeks, he gets sooooo shaky on the ride there. the ride is about 2-2.30 hours. he sits on my lap, and looks out the window. he does not throw up, he just seems a bit scared . how can i stop him from shaking and being scared? thank you everyone =)

we have the same problem with Layla at work. She will hear a loud noise and will freak out. She wants to be picked up and caudled but we just tell her "Layla you are fine" and as heartbreaking as it is... we have to ignore the behavior. eta- also try taking him in the car whenever you can...e venually it will be an every day thing.. | |

| I agree, ignore him it will get better and encourage him when he is doing well. Try and get him out on rides more whenever you get a chance. My two babies whine when they first start off in the car and get excited. I brought them car seats and that was th best investment that I made. They have seperate ones and they are able to look out the window when they want and lay down in comfort. |

| does he have a car seat? when my guy was a pup a would keep the car seat in the house and let him lounge in it. i think when we got in the car with it he felt less stressed.

| When I brought Jill home she panted like crazy .... I was kinda sad thinking oH NO I want her to love riding in the car.. Well everytime I would go somewhere I would just take her.. I ignored the signs of her being scared and took her anyways and 2 weeks later SHE LOVES TO RIDE..... Hopefully with time your baby will love the ride.... Good LUck
