LUCK/Prayers/Good Thoughts........right now. She is trying to pull something off across state lines......SHE NEEDS TO GET IT DONE, so that her Mom can be close by her (no laws are being broken ;)) and Jodi can take good care of her!

Go get'er Jodi!!!!! Good Luck!!!!!!!

She is very effective. I know she will get it done and it will go off without a hitch so long as she doesn't stop at Walmart more than once today.

Thank you everyone. Ginger is my birth mom that I was able to fine 3 years ago in May. Her children that she raised where either unable or unwilling to properly care for her when she was living in her home. She has dementia and several other medical issues that needed more care than they were able to devote to her. So my birth sister who lives in Arkansas and I asked the courts to appoint me as her legal guardian. The issue is that she's current living in a care facility in Indiana and I live in Illinois. So I've been waiting for her to enter the hospital so that I can move her to a place near me in Illinois. I got a call yesterday that she was ill and needed to be admitted to the hospital. I've never been so excited to hear those word! So I'm on it! Hopefully YT prayers and my skills will make this happen. I need her near me to ensure she's properly cared for now that I've found her.


On the way to the hospital my maps AP directed me to Walmart and said you have arrived at your destination right next to a Walmart and giant cow!

Prayers going up from here for what Jodi needs to happen and the outcome is entirely successful!!! From what I can tell, she's a go-getter who usually accomplishes what she sets out to do and woe to the bureaucrat who tries to stand in her way on this mission!

Thank you all again! Right now we are just working on getting her a meal. She's been on NPO since admit and hasn't actually eaten because she wasn't well since dinner Tuesday.

I'll get her to IL if I have to take her in my car or push her wheelchair! :D

Good luck with the transfer. It can be difficult to find a facility willing to accept the transfer, but if anyone can do it, you can.

I think I've got that part taken care of but that's really my main concern now. What if they change their minds :(

Wow, that is no simple feat. But I pray that you can get your momma home! It speaks alot of your character that you finally found your birth mom just 3 years ago and you're going to such lengths to take care of her when her other children can't/won't.

Are you transfering her to an attending/admitting doc at the facility you are trying to get her transferred to? If you have an admitting doc, and he has agreed to take her, he wont change his mind. If you SHOULD get her to the hospital, and then people start back peddeling about admitting her, if she has any issues with any chest pain, they will not push her out the door....they will need to work her up or observe her for a period of time.....time you can use to come up with plan B.

I haven't spoken to the doctor at the new facility but I did meet with the owner last year. She is my cousin's neighbor of 40 years and was wonderful at the time. It was her that told me how to go about moving her there. She even took me into the finance office to speak to them and how we could go about moving her. They told me to call as soon as she was ever admitted. I've also spoken to the SWs at both facilities and they all agreed it's do able.....

That's sweet of you to say and much appreciated. I'm not trying to be a hero but just trying to do what I feel is right. Some people cannot understand why I have become involved with a woman that turned me over to the nuns and didn't want me. The truth in why I was given up is a sad and heart wrenching Lifetime miniseries. I'm a pretty private person so I don't like to share a lot of the deals. But many some day I will do a tell all thread. Until them I'm hoping that I can pull this offend have her near me in a few short days. If not I will be totally heartbroken. But I will never stop visiting her and seeing that love in her eyes every time I go. There is no other emotion that I've ever felt like the times she just stares into my eyes with all her love :)

I truly hope this all turns out exactly the way you want it to. What a wonderful gift to have time to share this loving relationship with a Mom who was not in much of your life. Sweet.

God speed Jodi....God has touched your heart and you have seen into your mommas soul....alot of times mommas will tear out pieces of their heart just because they believe it is what they have to do in order to ensure the best outcome for all involved, especially where a baby/child is involved. I truly believe God has opened your heart and soul to this Truth, and given you the capacity in YOUR heart to forgive this lady, your momma. Travel safely and keep the Faith......He has given you the Will, you can believe and trust He will make the way.
