Jodi, I'm just now reading this. If anyone can get this done you can. I have had a lot of experience (Five years) with being the guardian of an Alzheimer's victim. (My Mom) So if you need to talk just let me know. You have my number. |
Well looks like we have hit a little bump in the road. I knew that it sounded to simple to be true. But I'm not giving up just yet. :) |

First I think it is wonderful that you have reunited with your mom after so long apart. It is so touching to know that you are taking such care of her and that she so appreciates what you are doing. Sorry that you have met some bumps on the road, but as others have said...if any one can achieve the transfer you can. :-) Praying the bump can be overcome soon and that you have your mom nearby and feeling better for your love. |
Hopefully all goes well, don't settle for anything but the best for her! |

Thank you everyone......as for right now those prayers really need to be given Monday when I call the attorney and new care facility. As of right now she is in a holding pattern and they are still treating her at the hospital for gram positive infection but is doing well. They changed her antibiotics and are going to test again to make sure they are working. It will give me a day more to figure things out. But I think we are moving in the proper direction to get this done :) |

Praying for Ginge and Jodi...that her tenacity pays off and that her mom gets well...still some bumpity bumps going on but Jodi WILL do this... |

Still no resolution to trying to move her. They nurse called today to get a phone consent for a bone biopsy tomorrow afternoon. She needs to be near me so that I can be there for her. It took me 47 years to find her and I can't give up on her now. :( |
Well hang in there, with persistence brings success !! I'm sure that you will stay on them and do what needs to be done to see to it that your mother has the best and is taken care of just as any daughter would. |

I stopped on my way home from work today to look in on Ging and she was all smiles. She doesn't always remember things that happen but amazingly she remembers what I talk to her about. It's like she hangs on my every word. I've been telling her every time that I'd go to see her that I was working on trying to move her closer to me. Today I told her that after trying for over a year she is finally right down the street from me. To that I got the hugest :D and it just melted my heart. I asked how she liked her ambulance ride and if they used the siren and went fast and she smiled when I said "I know that you like to go fast". I can't wait until tomorrow when I go to visit her again. It's going to be a very good day. I'll worry about her test results later. For now I will just be happy that she is near me and that I know she is safe and well cared for. It's just the right thing to do for a woman that gave so much away when she gave me up. I will always be there for her because it is the right thing to do. Maybe I will ask if Bogey could come to visit. She loves him almost as much as I do.......almost ;) |
Great news! Really am glad it all worked out...life really never quite goes the way we plan it......but sometimes they do, I'm glad it all came together for you and Ginger! |

Linda, at that time, she believed in her soul, that was the only way YOU would be provided for.....she felt, for WHATEVER reason, she had no better solution that was in YOUR best interest....so she set her jaw, bit the bullet, and sacrificed a good portion of her heart and soul, so you could have what she could not provide. Thank God YOU have the capacity in your heart and soul to see beyond "the action" and instead, "understand and accept the result". Draw on that look in her eyes.....that is where her soul is....God bless you for caring for your momma......considering the issues and what got you two to this place, your care and love and compassion for your momma speaks volumns about your character. |
