Mom is failing fast, and medicated sufficiently to not have pain, Hospice is here. She is ready, and we are ready for her journey to heaven~praying for her to be in peace soon.

Thank you so much my friends, for being here to support me in this very dark time. It's going to be really hard so see her go, she is a good Mom and friend to me.

I am trying to set aside my selfishness in wanting her to stay, and realize that it is more important for her not to suffer in this hopeless condition and unbearable pain. Many of our loved ones are in heaven waiting for her, my dad, grandparents, her brother, my late DH..... and one day I will be with them all too. Still kind of unreal though.

Talk to her, tell her anything you think you may want to say to her before she goes.....I assured my momma that she was the most wonderful, loving, kind, fair, etc momma we could have ever had and we were so honored to have her as a momma....I assured her we would be OK and we would be able to carry on, heartbroken, but because of all she taught us and her guidance, etc, we would be able to pick up the pieces and move forward, never forgetting her, always missing her....I wanted to be sure she had no doubt we would at least survive because of the skills she had given us......tell her all the little things, regardless how little and insignificant those little thoughts from your heart may seem....just have a wonderful, peaceful chat with her....the sense of hearing is the last thing to leave, so even if she is not able to respond to you, she can hear how much you love her and how much you all will miss her....I wish I could say or do something to make this easier for you....this is one of the hardest things you will ever have to do, send your momma "home".....I will pray for you and your family,for peace and strength and Light all around you as you bid her farewell.....

Momma passed on to Heaven this morning. She is now at peace and not longer in pain.

We miss her, but take comfort in knowing she is now with my Dad and her parents.

RIP Ms Pat. You are greatly missed by those you love and those who love you. You have your wings now, watch over them and help guide them in times of trouble and uncertainty. May they always hear your voice, and remain in their hearts forever. Till you meet again....
