Senior Yorkie Talker | Rebuilding the lives of an amazing family We are a military family. Our friends, also military, are going through an awful tragedy. Monday morning their home caught on fire while they were not home. They have lost everything. Their two dogs (a pit/lab mix, and a shepherd) lost their lives in the fire. They have two young children that have been asking for their beloved pets. Although they lost all of their possessions, their biggest loss was the two fur babies as they were members of their family of course. I can not imagine what they are going through at this time. Please keep this family in your thoughts as we all try to help them stand again. We have a fund set up and I am truly truly amazed and inspired by the love that is being shown to them. I am so heartbroken for them and I know nothing I say or do will bring their pets back. It breaks my heart to know they are blaming themselves. That they are constantly thinking of what their dogs went through in those moments. Please feel free to leave any positive thoughts, and comments. I would like them to know that there are people all over the world thinking of them at this time. |

| Oh dear, what a tragedy. So sorry for your friends family. My son is career military and I always marvel and am impressed with how they care for each other! Your friends have so much grief to overcome. I hope they will seek professional counseling to help. Assure them, that indeed, folks from all corners are sending their best wishes and prayers.

Senior Yorkie Talker | *Update* They were able to pick up their fur babies' ashes yesterday. They are in beautiful urns. So far, $5,000 had been raised by friends and family. They are beyond grateful. Thank you guys for your kind words. They are so appreciated at this time. I have the belief that in the military, we are all family. That seems to be true for many. I am so amazed by the kindness being shown to this family. It is incredible! Thank you guy again for your kind words, prayers and support. The family is truly grateful. |

| Praying for your friends. I was told that people mostly die in fires from smoke inhalation before the fire even touches them... don't know if it's the same for pets.

| I am so sorry for your friends losing their home and their pets. They are sure lucky to have friends like you helping them, and I'll pray for things to go good for them as they rebuild their lives. By the way, thank you and your friends for your service in our military. You are our heroes and we all owe you a lot of gratitude for all that you do for our country.
