| Hi, Jeanie-our very dear friend. Have I told you, that you are amazing? With your surgery, and upcoming appt. on Monday, you still take the time, to post and offer me advice regarding Sheila's medication. We continue to pray for you, each night-a special prayer to Our Lady of Lourde's. God bless you. Love & Hugs from Sheila & I. Rich |

All I have to get through is the oncologists visits next week and that first treatment if I take them day at a time so I think I can do that right now. Thank you, Sandy, for the practical ideas and the pep talk. I appreciate it and your blessings.

Then I saw my gastroenterologist and it was a great day until I saw him. Yikes. He ordered a colonoscopy - it's been 5 years and I had a polyp last time that was pre-Ca! I just don't think I'm up for any more "news"! I forgot to ask him if I can wait until after I finish the treatments, which I'm sure I can. Geez!

LOL. You keep up looking for Mr. F's phone number and get us on that "upstairs" casting call at least! At least Tibbs and I can read for a part and while we are there, get the show going again - I just know we can gin it up into production when they see the desperate look on my face now that I'm in DA-withdrawal. Hugs back to you all from us across the pond! Quote:
I appreciate and return you guys' prayers and think we must all be better off for them. I know they've gotten me through what I thought would be a terrible time and it just wasn't!!! Now that is amazing! The power of prayer works. Love hugs to you both.

Leave it to the gastro to bring bad news. Sorry you have to have the dreaded test (and drink the incongruously named GoLightly?). Praying they won't have any "news" for you.

| Jeanie! Now they want you to have a colonoscopy…lol For goodness sake, they have to give you a break!! Seriously though, I hope they will put it off for a while. Glad to hear the margins are clear, thank God. Love and Hugs to you, my friend, Dyan

| I see you have some other issues so I would ask your Dr. before doing any of this as I will too.I took too long with this and my time ran out. I'll make it a bit shorter. Low fiber diet about four days before the procedure. While fiber is normally important for colon health, it can cause problems during screening. Small pieces of nuts or grains can sometimes get clogged in the scope, they can also cover up the polyps they are looking for during the test. About one day before the screening, you'll need to stop eating solid food and switch over to clear liquids like broth, apple juice, clear soda, popsicles and plain Jell-O without fruit. Because most colonoscopies are done in the morning, many people follow a 'split prep. This involves drinking half the colon purge solution in the evening and half the other half in the morning. This gives it time to work and people seem to tolerate it better when it split up (maybe they meant spit up lol) Hope this helps some, I was never told any of this 10 years ago but maybe they didn't realize the need for these things at that time. Hope this helps you some.

Thank you, our dear friend. I know, too, Sheila would very much love to return to her Ministry. She always said, "I am not worthy of the honor, but I am so grateful to have the honor of serving Our Lord". Thank you for keeping us in your prayers-you are always in ours. Sheila asks about you the 1st thing every morning. We are praying very hard for you with your appt. coming up on Monday. Love & Hugs from Sheila & I. Rich

I'm very glad you suggested quartering the pill. Sheila is like you-very sensitive to medications. We've also discovered, she must eat something substantial with the oxy. I agree with you-we are all so much better off, when we pray for each other. The power of prayer is very strong. God answers prayers. Love & Hugs to you, dear friend. Rich

You just can't seem to catch a break. Sheila has had so many colonoscopies, and she is at the point, if her G.I. Doc orders another, she says she is going to go running into the woods! (Well, she said, "staggering slowly". Praying your scope can wait until you finish your treatments. Rich

| Jeanie, I, too hope they make you wait til all your procedures are done before the colonoscopy. I had two. The first one they probably only did the lower portion and the second one was a very thorough going through the whole thing. The second one was the very worst thing I ever experienced…between the liquid you have to drink which made me nauseous and the actual procedure. Even with Demerol given I was extremely uncomfortable. They'd like to see me again in 4 years for the one polyp and I am hesitant. I think I may need to go to a different doctor when the time comes. I am keeping you in my prayers you are doing well, my friend. Love and hugs, Dyan
