Good evening again young lady! Just a quick check-in to see how you're doing today?

Still trying to find Mr. Fellowes phone number - but don't you worry, I'm on the case..... Hopefully I can get a bit-part for yourself and Tibbe, upstairs of course....

Love and hugs from Harry, Andy and I xxx

Hi, Jeanie-our very dear friend.

Have I told you, that you are amazing?

With your surgery, and upcoming appt. on Monday, you still take the time, to post and offer me advice regarding Sheila's medication.

We continue to pray for you, each night-a special prayer to Our Lady of Lourde's.

God bless you.

Love & Hugs from Sheila & I.

Rich

Just get on that table and say one Our Father prayer and it is over! No pain. Now you MUST have some cream and as soon as you get in that dressing room, rub it all over so your skin will not burn. That is the only downside of radiation. You may feel a bit tired but just lay down and rest. You meet angels along this journey and realize you are not the only one. Others troop through this, I did. No problems.
Prayers for you as you take one day at a time and try to do something fun or a treat and lots of love to Tibbe, constant faithful friend and companion.
You are blessed having him by your side!
I think praying when you are scared or doing something you don't like having to do like having medical tests or treatments is a great way to face it! And cream - I'll have to remember to take some with me each day in my purse if they don't furnish it there. What a great idea.

All I have to get through is the oncologists visits next week and that first treatment if I take them day at a time so I think I can do that right now. Thank you, Sandy, for the practical ideas and the pep talk. I appreciate it and your blessings.

I think I got mixed up as the rad/oncol. appt. is Monday of next week - I'm sorry. I've got a week to live it up 'til then! LOL. I'll take that hug and return it right back to you two.

What's the story on your next Yorkie, Rich? Have you a breeder or litter or dog in mind?

Give Ms. Sheila all my best and remind her I'm praying daily for you both and I know you two know that God watches over his children as we do ours and gets us through the bad times hour by hour the same as us. He's got a tender heart for our troubles and I suspect feels every pain we do. Love you both, Jeanie

Hi, Jeanie.

Sheila & I are both so glad to hear that Tibbe is feeling better, and we pray that he will stay well.

Well then, live it up 'til next week!

We'll take that hug and raise you one!

Oh, Jeanie-right now, all I really have on my mind is getting Sheila to eat and hopefully, get her some pain relief.

Sheila send her very best to you & says that your prayers mean so much to her.

She and I continue to keep you in our prayers.

We agree with you-we have a very loving Father in Heaven, and He would not want His children to suffer for a second.

Sheila was a very active Minister, before she developed LC, and she hopes that it is Our Lord's Will, that she get well enough to return to her Ministry.

We love you, too, Jeanie.

Rich
I'm hoping and praying that Sheila will get better and one day return to her Ministry, Rich. I know she would love that. She - and you - are in my prayers every day more than once and sure am grateful to be in yours.

Saw my surgeon today who said my "margins" were clear and no evidence of cancer, which is what she told me she thought the outcome would be right after surgery.

Then I saw my gastroenterologist and it was a great day until I saw him. Yikes. He ordered a colonoscopy - it's been 5 years and I had a polyp last time that was pre-Ca! I just don't think I'm up for any more "news"! I forgot to ask him if I can wait until after I finish the treatments, which I'm sure I can. Geez!

I'm really doing just great - until I found out it's time for another yucky test nobody likes to have! But otherwise, doing fine. How are you and I've been meaning to ask about Andy. It's been quite a while since his surgery so I'm hoping he's doing okay?

LOL. You keep up looking for Mr. F's phone number and get us on that "upstairs" casting call at least! At least Tibbs and I can read for a part and while we are there, get the show going again - I just know we can gin it up into production when they see the desperate look on my face now that I'm in DA-withdrawal.

Hugs back to you all from us across the pond!

Sorry, I shouldn't do that but I have problems with meds & share all too often with others who have problems. I pray Sheila can take her pain medication okay. It can help her so much just find some comfort.

I appreciate and return you guys' prayers and think we must all be better off for them. I know they've gotten me through what I thought would be a terrible time and it just wasn't!!! Now that is amazing! The power of prayer works. Love hugs to you both.

The first part of your post is wonderful news! Very happy to hear the wonderful report.

Leave it to the gastro to bring bad news. Sorry you have to have the dreaded test (and drink the incongruously named GoLightly?). Praying they won't have any "news" for you.

Jeanie! Now they want you to have a colonoscopy…lol For goodness sake, they have to give you a break!! Seriously though, I hope they will put it off for a while.

Glad to hear the margins are clear, thank God.

Love and Hugs to you, my friend,
Dyan

What Great News, don't worry too much about the Colonoscopy but you are right they could have at least given you a day or two to celebrate before this. Geeez how much can a person take. I have to have one after 10 years and have lots of new info to make it easier, I will get it to you tomorrow. I have lots of questions to ask my Dr. when I see him on the 8th of April, the prep is dangerous on someone my age but my GP is urging me to get it since I have a family history of Colon Cancer. I've given it lots of thought for a year now so I will most likely go ahead with it.

Sleep well and only think of the Great News you had today.

I know - right? Just burst my bubble from the good news but good! Trouble with colonoscopy prep is I tend to get very, very low blood pressure from just even bad diarrhea so I hate having to do the prep part for the scope(well, doesn't everybody!) The test itself is going to be a little tricky this time as I had air outside bowel (the peritoneum) a couple of times in the past year and a half and was hospitalized each time to wait for sepsis and surgery but without ever getting septic and surgery wasn't required, so doc said it could rupture during the scope so the antibiotics are required. Yuck! I'll have to be on pre-op antibiotics for three days before and of course IV antibiotics during the scope. Except for that issue, the scope is just nothing compared to the dang prep for those of us who lose fluid quickly and get hypotensive. Oh, well, at least I don't have to worry about it for a while!

Now, I think I'm going to go off to bed and 'worry about it tomorrow', as Scarlett always said!!!

Thanks you guys for those prayers and well wishes!!! Hugs to everyone.

I see you have some other issues so I would ask your Dr. before doing any of this as I will too.I took too long with this and my time ran out. I'll make it a bit shorter.

Low fiber diet about four days before the procedure. While fiber is normally important for colon health, it can cause problems during screening. Small pieces of nuts or grains can sometimes get clogged in the scope, they can also cover up the polyps they are looking for during the test.

About one day before the screening, you'll need to stop eating solid food and switch over to clear liquids like broth, apple juice, clear soda, popsicles and plain Jell-O without fruit.

Because most colonoscopies are done in the morning, many people follow a 'split prep. This involves drinking half the colon purge solution in the evening and half the other half in the morning. This gives it time to work and people seem to tolerate it better when it split up (maybe they meant spit up lol)

Hope this helps some, I was never told any of this 10 years ago but maybe they didn't realize the need for these things at that time.

Hope this helps you some.

Hi, Jeanie.

Thank you, our dear friend. I know, too, Sheila would very much love to return to her Ministry.

She always said, "I am not worthy of the honor, but I am so grateful to have the honor of serving Our Lord".

Thank you for keeping us in your prayers-you are always in ours.

Sheila asks about you the 1st thing every morning.

We are praying very hard for you with your appt. coming up on Monday.

Love & Hugs from Sheila & I.

Jeanie,

I'm very glad you suggested quartering the pill. Sheila is like you-very sensitive to medications.

We've also discovered, she must eat something substantial with the oxy.

I agree with you-we are all so much better off, when we pray for each other.

The power of prayer is very strong.

God answers prayers.

Love & Hugs to you, dear friend.

Jeanie,

You just can't seem to catch a break.

Sheila has had so many colonoscopies, and she is at the point, if her G.I. Doc orders another, she says she is going to go running into the woods! (Well, she said, "staggering slowly".

Praying your scope can wait until you finish your treatments.

Jeanie, I, too hope they make you wait til all your procedures are done before the colonoscopy. I had two. The first one they probably only did the lower portion and the second one was a very thorough going through the whole thing. The second one was the very worst thing I ever experienced…between the liquid you have to drink which made me nauseous and the actual procedure. Even with Demerol given I was extremely uncomfortable. They'd like to see me again in 4 years for the one polyp and I am hesitant. I think I may need to go to a different doctor when the time comes.

I am keeping you in my prayers you are doing well, my friend.

Love and hugs,
Dyan
