| Praying for your FIL and your family. I hope the doctors can figure out something to make him stronger and he improves each day.

| I'm so sorry for not updating sooner. It's been a long three weeks. After a week in ICU my FIL was moved into a private room. Yesterday they told us they can do nothing else to help him. He is being moved today into an urgent care rehab/nursing home. He is too weak for my MIL to take care of him. hopefully they can rehab him,at least To the point he can use a walker and get out of bed without help. Right now he can do neither. Keep up the prayers it looks like this is going to be a long recovery.

Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Prayers for you all Michelle, I am just reading about your father in law, praying for him, your mother in law. I am so sorry for them. I know what a difficult time this is for your mother in law, praying for her to feel God providing strength to get through all that she is going through too. I can relate somewhat with what you all are going through, it is very difficult. Prayers through the YT Families here are mighty. I am so greatfull to many here, their prayers have helped get me through the last four years caring for my Jack here at home by myself. I thank God continually for providing me to do so and also I thank HIM for each and everyone of the wonderful prayerful folks here at YT. Reaching out and sending a big hug to you. Patti and Jack |

| I've been following your thread but haven't posted... I am so sorry for what ya'll are having to go through. Even once he has some rehab, they will probably still need help if he decides to discharge home. Please consider contacting your local Area Agency on Aging about putting your father on the referral list for the Elderly and Disabled Home and Community Based Services Waiver. From the earlier posts, it looks like you live in Tennessee so I've included links to information about the program and how to contact them. I work for a similar program in Mississippi and the goal of our programs is to help consumers remain in the home and community as an alternative to long term nursing home placement. Feel free to PM me if you have ANY questions! | I am so sorry I have not updated in a while. My FIL came home from the rehab center yesterday. He is doing pretty good physically. He gets very frustrated with simple tasks. Yesterday he couldn't remember how to use the satellite remote control and became very angry. It is sad to see him trying so hard to remember what to say and simple tasks to do. It is really a miracle that he has come as far as he has..thanks to all the prayers that have went up for him I love my YT family and thank you so much for all the prayers and thoughts for my family during this trying time.
