I could see last night it gave her strength to know others were praying for her also. Thank you to all of you who have become my Mother's "Yorkie Friend".
BTW, Someone asked about Yazi, she's doing fine and I hope to bring her up to the Hospital as soon as she's out of the ICU.

Jason, I am so very concerned for your mother. I am not there and do not know for a fact, what is or isnt being done for her. Just reading your posts, my concern is they are not doing blood work on her because "her veins collapse".....Jason this is not acceptable. When a person is experiencing chest pains, they, at the very least, do cardiac enzymes and serial 12 lead EKGs to determine if she is having or evolving an MI ....heart attack. Of more concern to me, is the fact there is not a nurse in the ICU that can hit a vein or artery....does she have an arterial line in? The docs should have done that IMMEDIATELY if they know the staff cant draw blood!!! Is she being monitored with a machine at the bedside that displays her heart rhythm, her blood pressure, etc? Please dont tell me she is on the floor in a room, having chest pain. Jason, please try to have your momma moved before her cndition deteriorates. I am really concerned she is not getting adequate care where she is. Her treatment should never have been put on hold over the weekend....Please Jason, speak with her attending physician and tell him you want her moved to a hospital where the can draw blood and administer necessary medications. And if she should need surgery, you want her in a hospital that is able to do it with the best doctors and staff and equipment available....I am so worried for your momma.....keep us posted Jason...praying very diligently for you and your momma.....PLEASE CONSIDER MOVING YOU MOMMA TO WHERE SHE WILL BE RECEIVING INTENSIVE CARE FOR WHAT IS GOING ON WITH HER!

I do soooo agree with your post. Jason, put a call in to the doctor listed on here earlier and at least get a second opinion. Your Mom needs medications to regain her health. They can move her to another hospital by ambulance. Praying here for you both...

I'm still trying to figure out how to reply to responses. Yes it is true, my Mother's veins have a collapsed, they have no way to draw blood or administer medications at this point. They keep saying that if she were to need blood or test, they will put try to find veins using an Ultra Sound or will put in a Hep Lock? My Mother and I have been very upset with this Hospital and with the treatment and their callous attitude! They have taken offence that I have asked if these strokes were TIA'S and again they said I need to realize they were CVA'S, Yet at this time it won't make any difference if someone doesn't do something soon! They told my mother she could check out of this hospital yesterday and go to Akron General Hospital if she chose, but they would not have her transferred by ambulance because they do not agree that she be moved! I am not happy with my mother being here, but she's so weak and has been through so much with 2 hospitals already. I don't believe she has the strength to be moved right now. I will to continue to fight for her and hope that she gains her strength back quickly!
Oh, I will call the Doctor's name that was left yesterday, My Mom was so upset with this place yesterday, I really needed to let her get some rest.

Jason, FIRST, call that physician at Akron. You will be speaking with his office....speak with his nurse....he has a nurse that works with him.....tell his nurse you need to move your mother, you have been told she has a clot in her brain, and they are not doing anything for her where she is....tell her everything that has gone on....explane what is happening where you are and tell them you are concerned your mother is going to die if she is left at the hospital you are in. Tell them you want her moved to Akron so she can get the care she desperately needs. Tell them about no blood work being done...nothing being done over the weekend, and these people will not move her willingly. Tell her they have done NOTHING over the weekend and can they PLEASE accept her as an emergent transfer at Akron General under his care. Ask him what YOU can do to get your mother moved, give him the attending doctors name taking care of your momma now. She can be transferred immediately if this other doctor will accept her as a patient. After you talk to the physician at Akron (also be sure you tell him she is having chest pain and nothing is being done, they cant even get an IV or draw blood on her!), he will tell you what to do next. Depending on what he tells you, advises you to do next, (if he accepts her as a transfer, he will talk to your mothers doctor and ask for her history of events) I would tell your mothers attending physician you want the hospital to move your mother via ambulance immediately, to this other dr's care. You tell them Akron is a stroke center and you want you mother to receive the care they can provide her. Tell him you want her moved before something major happens to your mother. Tell your mothers attending dr that you are "concerned with the standard of care she is receiving at this hospital." Use those words...that means she is not getting the care/procedures/treatments she should be getting for the issues she is having. Tell him you have talked to the physician at Akron and (hopefully) he has agreed to accept her as a transfer. Tell him you give him permission to release your mothers medical information to this other doctor. Tell your mothers doctor if your mother needs to have any major invasive procedure, like stenting, or surgery, you are not confident they can do that where you are as they can not even get an IV in place. Tell him you want her moved before she deteriorates more. I am so hopeful this other doctor will be concerned enough about the lack of care your mother has received thus far, and will accept her immediately as a transfer. Keep writing updates Jason.....you are doing fine, sweetie.
