| Sorry for the late response... Well I went to PT last night. He took my history and did a massage (ouch on the left side)... but then my neck felt better... it's been on and off today though so I'm trying to take it easy, lol. The PT has to get the MRI, he hasn't seen it yet, but did do some kind of safety thing before doing anything to me. I go back Wednesday... oh and he gave me some exercises to do. Nothing difficult, just need to remember to do them. I feel better mentally though too, like maybe there will be a great outcome, that this is fixable. So seeing the light towards the end of the tunnel... And thanks to my YT friends... it helps alot to be able to 'discuss' things and get feedback... and I know the good thoughts and prayers help alot. Makes me feel like I'm not so alone going through this.

| Kathy, I am very happy to hear that you are improving. A bulging disc sounds very painful! Keep doing your exercises.

| ok first time reading this thread, I hate that I don't have time to read all the different forums and know what is hurting my YT friends, so if it is not to late to ask, how are you doing now? did you keep up with PT, did it help, LOL use it as an excuse to get your DH to massage you on a regular basis

| I am just now starting to look at other parts of this forum since I am new.. and I do have to say I got a chuckle out of the good thing it wasn't a brain tumor comment but yes glad it wasn't one granted at times I think if I had to pick between my brain tumor or the herniated disc in my neck I would just keep my brain tumor lol Yea the neck is NO fun!!! I go through periods where I have hardly any issues and then the next week it is like somebody set my shoulder on fire and I can not feel or use my left hand, you just get the nonstop feeling like when your foot is asleep and you are trying to wake it up. The best thing I can say is make sure you have somebody that knows how to give the right massage for your injury and keep up with your stretches.. oh and look into bio freeze and B12 shots!! |
