I fully understand what you & meganmomma are saying but that is not what the comercial is saying at all. When I get a chance to hear it again I will rite down the Hosp name & I will call them about it & post whatever I find out for you. My mom used to work at the hosp here & told me a few yrs ago that they were working on using it for other areas of the body then so maybe it is very new still, IDK.

I just went through some pretty heavy stuff and had to go down to U of M Cancer Center and go through a major surgery. I was terrified and the path report came back no cancer, but each step to get there is very scary.

I wish I could do more than Pray, but thats where I am going to start You take care, email me any time ok?

Google is a fascinating tool. I can't find anything relating to gamma knife treatment of any thing but brain tumors and metastasis. Please be sure to post the information, as I have googled Washington and gamma knife and can't find anything.

I will deff post whatever I find out. I know it was for either Spokane or Seattle but pretty sure it was Spokane as I thought that in itself was odd, that it was not Seattle.

God has a plan for you and your family,They say he will not give you more than you can handle. You are such a giving person. You already proved you are a strong person by being a suroagate mother. My granddaughter had a bone marrow transplant when she was 3 years old, had excessive chemo to get ready for the transplant,lost her hair the whole 9 yards. She is 18 years old now and is in remisson. Prayers do help. Please keep us updated. If you want to pm me you can. Will be putting you on our prayer list at church.

Michele you are correct in how the Gamma Knife is used procedure. It's a wonderful advancement in treatment in many otherwise inoperable tumors of the BRAIN. The device has been around for many years and is now available at many hospitals around the United States. There are always cutting edge treatments available but that does not mean they will apply to the type of cancer you are facing or your treatment plan. This is a decision that needs to be discussed with your team of healthcare workers. But this goes without saying because you are in very good hands

Here is a list of hospitals in Washington State. Maybe you can locate the hospital that aired this commercial to post more information. If what you are saying it true I'd like to take this information to all of the surgeons that I work with to get their opinions. It's always good to stay informed and this is not something that I have ever heard discussed in Chicago while treating breast cancer.

AWWW Michelle I am just now reading this. I am so very sorry.

I am a 6 1/2 yrs Breast Cancer Survivor (Stage 3A) I had Bi-Lateral Mastectomies and I had implants put in, but my body rejected them.
I've been thru it all, Surgery, Chemo and Radiation.

Just want you to know you will most certainly be in my prayers.
