Thanks. Ken is having a very difficult time eating. A week ago he weighed 103. I'm sure he has lost a few more pounds. I am going to call and see if they can find out whats causing it. This is sure a rough road. Still praying for a cure.

I always keep him in my prayers. It sounds like he is going through so many terrible things all at once. I pray before long there is something his doctors can do that can really help his pain level and appetite.

It breaks my heart hearing about the emotional pain you are both going through and also knowing that Ken is in such physical pain. He probably hates the way the medication makes him feel, but there's no excuse for them to allow Ken to suffer. I am still praying for a miracle for the two of you. I believe that love can carry you through the toughest times. I am so sorry that you are both going through this. I know it must be difficult for you, but please try to take care of yourself and stay strong. I think of you so much of the time, and my heart is really pulling for both you and Ken.

I am continuing to pray for Ken's comfort, for him to be able to eat and gain strength to fight. Praying for you Patti.

Thanks. I called the cancer center to get him some hydration tomorrow and hopefully they will see how much weight he has lost and do something. The radiation really seemed to mess him up.

Patti, we are all praying for the cure right along with you, and also praying for pain relief for Ken, and strength and perseverance for you too.

Yes fluids will help. Is it that he has trouble eating and his throat is bothering him?

Some good things to try, Milk Shakes, Mashed Potato's, Apple Sauce.

Also they can give him an appetit stimulant.

Prayers still continue.

Bless you Patti, I think of you so often throughout the day, praying for abundance of strength for you as you are caring for Ken, I hope they can give Ken IV nutritional support as an out patient or it can also be done in ones home when needed, which the latter he might preferr.

Going through daily watching a love one suffer is the hardest in life, I pray comfort in knowing God has HIS arms about you constantly, we are never alone.

We all love you and are praying for you and Ken... please try to think of our prayers and love when you are having a hard time. I use to visualize all my yt friends as little yappy yorkies

it would make me smile and then I could get through the tears.

When my father was going thru thios, we gave him Ensure mixed with ice cream....he would drink those shakes 6-8 times a day....Butter Pecan was his favorite.....they kept him nourished and he stopped loosing weight......and it made his throat feel better....maybe Ken would like Ensure mixed with ice cream for a malt...It will meet his caloric needs as well as nutritional requirements.

Thanks so much all the love and support is helping me. Ken is down to 98.8 lbs today with clothes and jacket. Nurse and I tried to talk to him about eating but he just says he's not hungry. The nurse just came in and said she told on him to the PA and she will meet with us Friday before chemo. I will stay strong with all your support and prayers. Some days are harder than others but day at a time I keep telling myself. Thanks
