My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family for the loss of your precious sister! It isnt easy losing someone you love, i have experienced this as well...im sorry and will keep you and your family in my prayers for strength to get through this very difficult time..

I am so very sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how hard it would be to lose a sister. I was never blessed with one. Only thing I can compare it to is the fact everyone in my family is gone other than my children and hubby. So I understand how much it must hurt. Have faith that she is at rest and looking over her family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. mary & mia

Thank you everyone, for your prayers and kind words.
We celebrated Maggie's life at her funeral mass this past Wednesday. It was both beautiful and very sad. Her eulogy, given by her eldest daughter spoke of Maggie's strength & faith through the last 13 months after being diagnosed & about the closeness of our family helping her and all of us through all of it. She also read a poem chosen personally by my sister Maggie sometime after she was diagnosed, to be read as part of her eulogy. It is called "The Dash" by Linda Ellis. It is a beautiful poem that I had never heard of before. The words in that poem chosen by my sister, as well as the support of my family, and friends like you help make this difficult time just a little more bearable.
