Prayers for my Family 2 Attachment(s) Some of you may remember my prayer thread last year http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/spe...ayer-list.html. On June 24, 2009 my sister Maggie was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer, and today she is gone. She was only 65 years old. Through her diagnosis, surgery, radiation & chemo treatments, and during the last 6 months in hospice care, she was strong & brave, accepting, and not once did anyone hear her complain or feel sorry for herself. She did what had to be done to fight the disease and when there was nothing more that could be done, she made the most of the time she had left with grace & dignity. Attachment 321909 Maggie June 2009 Maggie leaves behind 3 beautiful daughters, two grand-daughters, and an unborn grand-son whom she got to know only through seeing 3-D ultra-sound pictures and feeling his movement on her daughter's growing belly. He is due to be born on August 9th. My 5 remaining sisters & I, as well as our 4 brothers and my 96 year old mother, are also feeling a deep loss today. Though we've had a years time to grasp the inevitable and are consoled that Maggie is finally at peace, nothing completely prepares you to lose a loved one. We are very grateful that Maggie did not suffer the pain that I've heard so many cancers can cause. I gratefully ask for prayers of strength to help those who love her get through this difficult time. Attachment 321910March 2010 Sisters & mom celebrating Maggie's 65th bday & Mom's 96th bday |

Rose, I am so sorry for the loss of your sister, from the pictures you posted it looks like you have a very close loving family. You will have each other to lean on and grieve with right now. I know it is so hard to lose a sibling and nothing really prepares you for it. You will always have your sister in your heart and in your memories that you and your brothers and sisters can share. Sending prayers for all of you. |

Praying for you and all of your family. So thankful she did not suffer. Big hugs to you today. Heaven has gained another angel. |
I'm so sorry for your loss. I too lost my sister 4 years ago in June. She was just 32 and left behind 4 young children. It is so hard to lose a sister, I guess it's hard to lose anyone. I'm sorry and will send prayers for your family as well. |
