K9 Dog Orthotic Brace

I have seen those braces before. Personally I don't think the brace would help a tiny dog with just luxating patellas. When i worked at the hospital we did get a brace for one of our patients. she was your typical hyper black lab and she originally came in for a torn cruciate. well being that she was a nutcase she ended up breaking her repair and fracturing her tibia. the dog was just crazy and would scramble around like a cat on a hard wood floor running from a yorkie. So the brace did help that dog because it gave her more support for her joints and the fracture. she wore it for a few months after her 3rd surgery (for fracturing the fracture site again and breaking the 1st plate put in...dog was seriously a psycho LOL). anyway the brace worked great in her case.

I just don't think its worth it in morgan's case. it doesn't help fix or prevent anything. its just added support. Plus if not fitted and worn properly it can cause more damage then good for people who don't know what they're doing in my opinion.

i do think the braces are good for many things, just not morgan's case.
