Barbara! I'm so hoping this will work and your daughter will have her life back! I'm praying really hard!!!! Please God, let this work! |
Praise God that the surgery went well. Praying that Michelle will soon be in a much more comfortable place. Praying for her continued endurance. I am also praying for her husband and children. I can not imagine how difficult it is for her family to have her ill and in the hospital - moms are such an important ingredient to keeping the family going. She must have an amazing husband. |
Just checked this thread and saw that Michelle had another surgery. I'll keep praying with you for her. I'm glad to hear that the new surgeons feel they can help her and we'll pray for wisdom for them in treating her. |
I spoke with Michelle at 7:45 this morning and she was in pain but she said it was a different kind of pain. She had a couple of incisions on her head, one on her back and one on her stomach so it is understandable that she would be sore. She is optimistic that this surgery will help but it is too early to tell. She did walk about the nurses station a couple of time but she was hurting some after that. I told her she might need to wait and talk to the doctor before she tries to do too much. She did say her head seemed swollen but that could be from the surgery. I told Michelle that she did not need to be in any hurry to get out. The doctor will need to monitor her for a while to make sure the fluid level in her brain is at the proper level. Thank you all again for all your prayers and support. |
May God bless Michelle for all that she has endored so far and grant her a pain free life. Finger's crossed that this precedure did the trick for her. I am sure she is just anxious to get around and she how she feels. I pray that each day finds her feeling better and better. Hugs, |
Praying that as each hour passes, Michelle's pain eases and her body begins to heal from this surgery. She is a strong woman - with a great will, that is evident. Can I ask how many surgeries she has now had? It is amazing what she has been thru in not that many mths. |

We will be praying for Michelle and your family. God bless.! |
Update on Michelle....... Michelle was released yesterday from the hospital. She was doing so much better and was very optimistic about the outcome of this last surgery. Her head was still swollen some but doctor did not want to make any adjustment to the shunt because the he wanted to wait and see if Michelle's body would adjust on its own. The pain Michelle was experiencing was not near as severe as it had been prior to the surgery. Today Michelle had to be taken back to the hospital because her back started leaking a lot of spinal fluid from the incision where they had removed the shunt that was in her back. Her head started swelling a lot more too so Michelle is feeling pretty bad tonight. It looks like Michelle will have another surgery either tomorrow or Monday. We do not know for sure. I pray that this will just be a minor setback. Thank you all for all your prayers and well wishes. |
I am so very sorry for this minor setback - at least that's what we are praying for - a minor one. I don't post much in this thread, but you are in my daily thoughts and prayers. |
