My puppies ears dont stand either so i googled a video on taping them so I did actually today wa the first time. So we shall see! I like the ears up better than floppy but who cares i love her. Also ears tend to be floppy during teething in puppies(so I heard).

My Roxie's ears stood straight up, and after a bath, they never came up again.. We tried taping them too, several times. She is sweet and I love her anyway. My two that are a year old, Lily and Macy, their ears were straight up, but as they get older they are about half way up most of the time. Have tried massaging their ears, and cutting alot of the hair off. Hasn't helped so far. Their fur has gotten so thick this winter. I hate to cut any of their hair off as it gets so cold here. My dog Sassy that will be 15 years old next week, his ears always stood straight up, and continue to be that way.

I had a doberman who had one ear that stood up and the other ear flopped. I think it gave him character. One of my babies ears stand straight up and almost touch at the tips when he is ignoring me or being bad. They look like little horns then so I call them his Satan's Ears. My other one's ears sometime kind of stick out from his head like Yoda. It makes them all individuals and I love it.

Our first rescue Yorkie, Beavis, was a combo...one ear up and one fllopped. Our 1 year old, Baxter, was also a rescue dog and I fell in love with those floppy ears. One caution...the ear canal can retain moisture as the floppy ears keep the air out...can maake them more susceptible to ear infectiions...keep the water out during bath time

There are many flop eared yorkies, and that is a genetic thing. Ears should start standing up at 6 wks or sometime shortly after that. You must keep all hair cut off the ears as the weight of the hair will make the ear leather break. and as they teeth, some ears go up and down, once again, good food, and hair off the ears will help them stand, but in the case of the orginal poster, too late, he is over a year and ears will remain floppy. When choosing a puppy, always look for ears to already be up in most cases, other wise, if you take puppy home with flop ears, expect that more than likely ears will remain floppy. Only show dogs must have ears that stand up, if pet, then can flop if you like, not good to continue to breed that type though, jmho
