| Top Notch Kennel in North Carolina? Does anybody know of a top notch kennel in North Carolina? We have never boarded our yorkie before and he is our baby. We had boarded our miniature schnauzer before, but even though they said they had playtime, etc. we found out the dogs were basically put into cages and ignored until their owners showed up to pay. |

| Have you looked into having a "petsitter" come over? That is what we do for our yorkies. They would be SO devistated if we boarded them, that we get a petsitter to come over to care for them when we go out of town. They feel much more confortable at their own house and the petsitter comes over to walk them, give them food and water, or whatever else needs to be done. I am sure if you look in the phonebook or something that you could find a great petsitter in your area. Sorry I'm no help on the kennel, though. Hope you find the perfect place to keep your little one while you are away. |

| Finding a good petsitter A petsitter seems like a good idea, but my neighbor hired one & they didn't come everyday like they said they would. As a matter of fact, they said they would come twice a day & walk & play with her doggies (& get the mail & newspaper) & didn't. How did you find your petsitter? |

Here is a link from www.whitepages.com for all the pet sitters in North Carolina. http://yellowpages.superpages.com/li...search=Find+It Surely after interviewing and getting referrals you can find one that you are comfortable with. I think your furbaby would be much happier at his own home than at a kennel where he could potentially stay in a cage the whole time. You know? Let us know what you decide! | |

| Okay, now I am paranoid. How do you find out that the petsitter did not come, or that the kennel did not let your dog out the way they promised? I want to know if they do what they promise!!!

| Finding a good petsitter I noticed the newspapers piling up in front of her house and the girl's car was never out front. |

| Where do you live? We live in Greensboro and have an outstanding pet sitter. She goes above and beyond! But, she only sits pets that are close to her home because she goes to the homes so often during the day, it is not cost effective if they are too far away. Also in Greensboro is Bed n Biscuit. I personally have not used them for boarding, but have used them for grooming, agility training and puppy training. Very clean facilities. And many people use them and our vet recommended them as well. Ellie |
