I want to plan a South Florida meet, but don't exactly know where to begin. Anyone been to a Yorkie meet of any kind before? Give me some suggestions. What goes on? What do the owners do while there? How long does it usually last? Etc, etc. etc. Looking forward to hearing your suggestions.

Murphy and I are located in Melbourne Florida - any one close to us - we love play dates! Murphy is 8 months old and LOVES to play!

we've had several ones in maimi dade county. its usaually for like 2 hours or. so everybody takes something like food soda etc.... I cant wait for another meet. its so much fun

I think a Yorkie meet is a great idea! I would definitely attend. By the way, I live in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

ok, so I have been to a few pet-friendly parks through broward county and I am working on a few calls to the parks to see which one is best for us and our little ones. I am aiming to find the perfect spot so that they can be leash free and we can be shaded. It is also hard to find this plus a place where we can have food around the dogs. But I am working on it.

I have a list of some games/contest for our cuties, as well as some other ideas. I am going to a few local boutiques and asking if they want to donate any gifts for prizes or treats (wish me luck!) Of course, if any of you have any suggestions, PLEASE don't hesistate to share.

Hi. I'm Judy, mom to Chloe and Lacey. If anyone is interested in a Jacksonville meet, let me know. I had one last year and we had a ton of fun. I've moved, I no longer live in the house with an acre for the furbabies to run but I am sure we can work out something.

Calling all Yorkie owners in the South Florida area(and anywhere else if you care to take a drive to Broward County)!!!! I have researched ALOT of parks and thought hard on the date.

Meeko (my lovely Yorkie son) would like to invite all Yorkies to his first ever meet. We are referring to it as Yorkie Meet Fall 2006 (that way, if its a big success, we may have one during other seasons).

Place: Markham Park in Sunrise, FL (just off of I-595/I-75 and the Sawgrass Expressway)
Date: Saturday, September 23

More info to come. Feel free to PM me with any questions. I am still working out the details and any suggestions are welcome. I am soooo very excited. I hope we get a big turn out. Meeko seems excited too. He knows something is going on because we have been shopping alot.
