Hi I am also in Miami, Florida. I have two questions, I my yorkie has a microchip do I just register her with avid? In the state of Florida do I need to register her any place else? Those of you that live here in Florida do you know of any good breeder who is selling puppies or up to a yr old for about 500.00. Please let me know as I am looking for a yorkie for my mother in law. Thanks for all your help

Breeder in Fl I got my little one from Yorkiepark in Palm Coast, Fl. She's a great little gal and Diane, the breeder, has beautiful yorkies. I doubt she has any for that price, but go on her site under Yorkiepark and ask.

Hey, my name is Dianna and I just became a member to this forum. I was just wondering if your friend gave away his yorkie already because it's almost my birthday and i've been going crazy for a yorkie but due to their high prices my parents haven't been able to buy me one. If it's still available would you please give me his information, I would really appreciate it. Thank you very much. <3

Hi from Sarasota New to this site also. Have 2 great yorkies GG (5 lb female -14 mos) & JJ (9 lb male - 13 mos). Now I need YorkieRose's experience. The female came into heat 3 weeks ago and we didn't realize it, as it was her first and of course the male decided he needed to do his thing - how he got out of the crate I have no idea but he did and they hooked up - now her teats are swelling and she is getting very protective of her food bowl, which she never was before. His bloodline which I have a certificate and family tree of, states all his parents and theirs and theirs - goes back 6 generations - no inbreeding - all are under 7 pounds - seems he got all the bigger genes. My female's parents seem to have been just the opposite all over 7 pounds (have her lineage for 4 generations). What if any problems do you feel I may have with her pregnancy? I have been reading all sorts of postings on this site for the past 6 hours and now I'm am getting scared. My uncle raised yorkies, but that was a long time ago and he has since passed on - I was in my early teens and his yorkies were about the same sizes as mine and I don't remember him ever having any problems. Any words of wisdom will be appreciated. Thanks.

breeding Welcome... What is done is done...you can have her spayed right now if you do not want to proceed with the possible litter...or you can have the litter. Let the vet know and make sure to have an ER number if there is a problem. I am not a person to panic until it is time to panic..it is not panic time and may never be. The size of your male is not good for a small female, but if she has several pups they will keep each other in check size-wise while in the uterus...(as a rule)..sometimes one gets huge, but that happens with tiny studs also. Keep me updated..

Hi there to all Floridians. I just also realized that there was another forum in the southeast part of US. I am in West Dade, Miami area (very near to the Everglades). I am the owner of a six month old yorkie named Genie. Yorkies are fabulous and so lovable.

Broward/Miami-Dade play group How bought a broward/miami-dade play group. I am in miramar(pembroke pines) and would love to get a play group or just a group were we can get together and talk, exchange ideas, and let our babies play together. We could find a meeting place-dog friendly park or we could switch up meeting places whatever. My little Matise is 3 lbs. and is to small to play with most other dogs so it would be great if we could make a yorkie group up so these guys could get together and play. And we could get together and talk. So this is just a thought let me know what you guys think and maybe we could put it together with like a private e-mailing list so that we could set up dates and times and all that jazz. I would love for this to happen so give me your feedback and let me know what you guys think!! Kara & Matise
