Hello Hi. I'm fairly new to YorkieTalk. I live in Dothan and have three yorkies. One will be 16 tomorrow, his name is Winston. The other two are Maxie, who is around two, we just adopted her and Bear, who will be two on Sunday. I am not sure that he is not a silky, he has grown to be alot larger than my others. I recently lost my beautiful Roxie to a sago palm seed. She ate the seed on January 22 when we were at work and got really sick. Even with much vet help, we lost her on January 26. My heart is so broken. She will be with me forever in my heart, though.

| Welcome Ms. Susie. This is Julia. Good to see you on here. It is a lot of fun. Glad you are enjoying your new baby. We do need to get together with other Dothan People to have a day with our babies.

At the moment I can't recommend a groomer as I'm still working on finding the right one for myself. But we are so glad to have you here! I'm in the Birmingham area as well.

New to YorkieTalk.com Hello! I'm new to YorkieTalk and am excited to know more about this amazing breed. My husband totally surprised me with an adorable (9 week old) little Yorkie baby girl on Christmas Eve. I named her Eve of Noel and we call her Eva. Eva has captured our hearts and we can't imagine life before her. She sleeps with us, snuggled up to me, works with me and even went on vacation with us and she was just awesome! Eva was 20 weeks old yesterday and weighs 3.3 lbs. I was told she would be about 4 1/2 to 5 pounds at maturity, is that correct? This board is new to me but I'll try to post a photo of little Eva.

Hi I am new to YorkieTalk and my name is Gina. I live in Dothan too and always see Dr. Forrester. Actually she belongs to my church. Do you by any chance know of any breeders in the Dothan, Enterprise, or Ozark area. We have 5 AKC yorkies and currently have two females in heat ranging from a little over 5 lbs to 8 lbs. We are looking for a small AKC registered male for stud purposes. If you know of a responsible breeder I sure would be interested. Thank you

Hello Everyone! I'm new to the YorkieTalk forum. I got my sweet baby girl, Evie, in January when she was 7 months old. She is now 9 1/2 months old and has been such a blessing to our family. We live in Birmingham. If any of the Birmingham people are still looking for a good groomer, I took Evie (her first haircut/spa treatment) to the groomers at Generation Dog in Homewood (I think they're called Rub-A-Dub Dog Spa). I know the lady that owns Generation Dog. The groomers are Ginger and Melissa. Ginger groomed Evie and did a fabulous job. She said my sweet girl was the smallest dog she'd ever groomed (Evie is 2 pounds 7 ounces). That made me a little nervous, especially since she had never been groomed before, but she looked absolutely adorable! As soon as I learn how to post pics, I'll introduce you all to my sweet girl. I'm excited to find an Alabama group!

Hi again, This group seems kind of quiet, but I thought I would check in again to see if anyone knows of a good "Yorkie" vet in the Birmingham area? I'm currently taking Evie down to Montevallo Animal Clinic, but am curious if there is another local vet who is a "Yorkie expert." Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! Melissa
