Yorkieschmalz - do you have a boy or a girl, how old are they, your first yorkie or have you had more? I just love these little angels!! We have had two girls, both have passed away and we are both just yearn to give that unconditional love and to also receive it back. Our last little girl passed away at 13 1/2 with kidney failure in July 2006 - it just about was the end of me. Tell me all about your baby - I never get bored talking yorkie!!

Hi Joycie, I have a girl named Sophie and she is almost 13 months. She is my 3rd yorkie but first girl. My last yorkie still live in NY with my mom and family. His name is Biggie and is 14 years. My husband surprised me with Sophie last year for Valentine's day. He knew how much I missed Biggie and how homesick I was. Sophie brings alot of joy to us. She has even turn my husband who used to be a big dog person into a yorkie lover. We plan on adding more yorkies to our family in the future. | |

Union Grove here Hi Everyone, Well we live in Union Grove just 18 miles south of Huntsville. Originally for NY but that was 40 years ago. Hanna was born in Russellville Al, 10 years ago. She came from a fabulous breeder that had very nice and clean kennels. We were given a tour of the full facilities and met mom and dad. Hanna was 12 weeks old when she came to us. She has grown to look just like her mom, short and stocky.

I am also an Alabamian!! I am from Mobile. Haven't lived there in over 20++ years. Left when I married my husband who was a soldier. My mother stills lives in the area. My sister lives near Prattville and she raves about her groomer, Chris at Dog Days. Her poodles gets excited when they arrive and actual freely goes to Chris. Let me know if you have a "gtg", I am visiting somewhere in Alabama monthly.

You have got to know how excited I was to pick up the Dothan Eagle this morning when my hubby pointed out a Yorkie made the front page -- and then to relize it was Sophie and her wonderful mommy!!! Awesome fundraising idea too.
