Yorkie Talker | Georgia Yorkie Meet-need your suggestions - specifics will follow Let's set up a Yorkie meet in Georgia. I have 2 date suggestions, the one that has the most yes responses by September 1st is the one we will go with. Saturday, September 27th - midmorning -OR- Sunday, October 12th - afternoon Please provide any dog friendly parks that you have enjoyed in your response. Or any other suggestions for location. It appears most of the responses came from people in the Northwest region of Atlanta. I have not taken Link to any yet so I will also do some research. I am so excited to meet fellow Yorkie owners. I am new at this, so any suggestions on location, activities, etc. are more than welcomed. And, should help make this a great event. Maybe we could get together annually or semi-annually if it all works out ) I look forward to hearing from you

| Columbus Day I don't know if anyone gets this holiday anymore, but Monday, October 13, is Columbus Day. Is this a 3-day week-end for anyone???

Yorkie Talker | Not I, it would be nice though - The kids don't get off school in Cherokee county. Are the banks and government buildings closed?

| I'm an afternoon person so I will vote for October 12. There is a park in Marietta that is dog friendly. I know they have a group that meets up once a month with dogs. They have a fenced in ball field you can let your dogs run around in. They have sanitary stations with poopy bags. We may need to find a park with pavilions or something incase it rains. I will have to try and remember the name of the park. It is a small park, but its the only one I know that is pet friendly. Maybe we could do like a pot-luck with finger foods. Just a thought. |

| I've been to the pitner road dog park. it's nice. I will vote for Sep 27. But I can do oct 12 as long as we either do it early enough to get back before the bus runs or after the bus runs and I'll just bring her along. Also the one on pitner road has has playground for kids. |

| I would love to come and vote for September 27th but could make the October date also. There is a nice dog park in Alpharetta, Wills park or one in Cumming. The one in Cumming is a little harder to get to though. Let me know if I can help you plan anything. |

| I would love to come - my schedule is fairly flexible and I don't have anything planned for either proposed date. Sounds like fun! |

| I think either date will work with Rory's very busy schedule. I think Piedmont Park would be great park for a meet-up! There is the small dog area within the main dog park, and Park Tavern is dog friendly if people wanted to sit on the patio and eat. |
