| Shelbyville-Bedford County Humane Assoc.: 4th Annual Celebration Pet Day (TN) It's almost time for SBCHA's 4th Annual Celebration Pet Day. This year's event is: Saturday, September 27, 2008 10:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Bedford County Agricultural Center Everyone is welcome! All friendly dogs (leashed or crated) welcome! We would also like to invite all of the local rescues to come out and participate for FREE!! Booths are 10x10 spaces with electrical hookups. You are free to pass out your literature, collect donations, bring available pets for adoption, and sell your items. As a rescue organization ourselves, we realize the value of networking with other rescue organizations. 100% of the vending fees received from vendors will go to benefit the Shelbyville-Bedford County Humane Association's shelter and animal care costs. The nice thing about our location is the covered pavilions. Vendor and rescue booth spaces are covered, so even though it is outside, it will be shaded and we will be able to go on rain or shine. We only have two organized fundraisers per year to support our association. Free lunch will be provided to all rescue booths. We just ask that you let us know of any special dietary requirements. Meal tickets will be given at registration check in. Please let me know if you are interested. We would love to have your organization in attendance. You may e-mail me at this address for registration forms and directions or you may reach me by calling (615) 828-9206. We have some GREAT events lined up this year which include: The Comedy Canines : In the heart of the Smoky Mountains you will find a unique group of dogs. A group of rescues that have been trained to educate and entertain. Through out the last several years Dawn and her dogs have been featured in several news stories, go to senior centers for pet therapy, traveled to Pet Star, worked at Camp Gone to the Dogs, been featured in commercials, ads and videos and performed at several charity events and schools. The dogs are also available for media work. They are experienced in commercials, print work, movie and video. They are kid and dog friendly and love to work. Some of their credits include: Turner Classic Movie Channel Scotch Tape Saturn Cartoon Network D.I.Y. Network Georgia Power Atlanta Childrens' Museum Pet Safe Febreeze Bank of America Amanda Oliver: Executive Director, Beesley Animal Humane Foundation. Mrs. Oliver will give a program about the procedures and techniques of Tellington T Touch Therapy. To learn about Tellington T Touch visit: What is TTouch®? - Tellington TTouch Training™ Cynthia Hollis from Sit & Stay Dog Training Center Will give workshop demo on dog obedience techniques. Kay Allen from Blessed Assurance Farms will have a booth with info about the Tennessee Donkey Club. She along with her team will give a donkey cart racing and coon jumping demo and program. She will also bring her crew of miniature animals for the kids to meet and interact with. The Annual Celebration Pet Day Pet Show is back again this year. This is an "all around" pet show, not just for dogs! Mixed breeds definitely welcome! This show is for kids and adults alike. Entry fee is $5.00 per class. Best in Show will receive a challenge trophy, ribbon, and $50.00 savings bond. Candy Swan from Mudbug Farm Agility and Obedience: will be there with her group of Agility Dogs. Candy and her dogs will give agility demonstrations and tips. We are once again an official Puria "Rally to Rescue" event. We'll also have vendors, games, food and fun!
