| Personal section? Lately I've been following some sad, heartbreaking & at times, very personal stories concerning some Y. T. families in the "Off Topic " section... Sometimes it's hard to transition from the lighter threads to the threads that need prayers & comfort...I was thinking that the forum has a place for general posts on yorkies & then there's a forum for sick & injured yorkies.... would it be better if there was a forum started for "Family Issues" or "Personal & Family" instead of it being mixed in the "Off Topic" section?..... It would be easier if I could just go to that section to keep up on the family rather than scroll through all the regular stuff... The off topic & personal stuff is where we get to know the people here on a more personal level instead of just talk about out yorkies, so these topics are important to access...just a thought..

| I think that's a great idea, to have a "Need Support" type of section

| I've always felt a little uncomfortable posting when there might be a thread saying, " Look at my vacation pic.'s from Bermuda!!" & "I got a fart joke for you.....", sandwiched in between that would be a thread saying, "I need prayers...." something about that just doesn't feel right...Am I wrong?

Administrator | The main focus of YorkieTalk is for Yorkies. We understand members may want to share more about their personal lives or ask for support, and they may do so in the Off Topic section. The Off Topic section is for any threads, good or bad, happy or sad, that don't deal with Yorkies. We also have a sister community dedicated to women at http://www.4WomenTalk.com which has many forums dedicated to support and helping one another. |
