| What's Happening to Format?? Looks like some sort of transition but I hope it is not done. I hit New Posts but all the old threads come up and then you have to scroll through a list of individual posts to find where you are. Some of the new posts seem to be missing now. I know I responded in a couple of threads and those posts are now gone along with the other recent posts. Some are listed in " More posts beyond current depth" or some sort of heading. But not all of the missing ones could be found even looking through those. Very weird. Is this part of the "needing a new server" problem or part of a format transition? Anyone know?

| I dunno, but I was having the same thing. It's called "threaded" in your options. If you go to UserCP and then to Edit Options, go down to the display mode and check Linear (either oldest or newest first, whatever you prefer) then click *i think* save. I just did that, my settings weren't changed, but I did it anyway, and it's fine now

| There's a link at the top of the message, in the blue bar, that says 'Display Modes'...just click that and then click 'Linear' and it changes it back to normal display...or the kind we're used to anyway. |

Administrator | Thanks for letting us know about the format issue. Hybrid/thread mode is now turned off for everyone. New posts ONLY show you threads with posts that you have not read. If you post a new thread or a new reply in a thread, it will not show up in New Posts (for you) because the system considers you as having read that thread. For everyone else, that thread you just posted in will show up in their New Posts link because it is a new post for them. If you click on a thread that shows up in the New Posts link, the next time you click New Posts, that thread will not show up in the list because it has now been marked 'read'. This is a more efficient method, because members can now easily see what they have or haven't read and what threads have new posts in them on YT. If you want to clear your New Posts list, click on Quick Links then click Mark Forums Read and it will consider you as having read all current threads up until that time. We understand some member may not like this, and may be used to the old system, for those members, you may click on Quick Links then click Today's Posts. This will show you a list in reverse chronological order (meaning new posts first) of new threads for today, which will include threads in which you are the last person to reply and include threads which you have started. Alternatively, you can also bookmark this link below in your browser's favorites, which will give you results of the old style of the New Posts link... |
