| Good post! I think this has even been mentioned before on here. Some people think that everything is there way or the highway, and everyone needs to bow down to them. We just gotta learn to ignore them, no matter how hard it is sometimes! About Seasonal Depression Disorder, I think I got that! I always get hyped up when the weather turns warm, and just wanna go out and party. This week is got really cold, like 40's in the morning (and it's only going to get worse) And the other day I really felt depressed. I got my baby to cheer me up though!

| Brenda, I totally agree with you as well. There are times that people's opinions receive all kinds of unfair judgment. I've always loved YT for the fact that I can come here, find useful information about my Yorkie and also read about others. I like the diversity and different personalities - it makes this site great. Unfortunately a few negative comments can really hurt people and ruin things for everyone. I've had times where I've been so angry about a comment that I either just sign off or I come close to posting a nasty reply. I think on some issues - there will always be someone who made a mistake. But that's how we learn! And this site can help us ALL learn.

| This is a really good post.... I usually don't put my two cents in, but I did the other day cause I really get tried of people coming on here and trying to start stuff...I have most of the time felt like this is a place to learn, discuss and make friends with people that are as crazy about their furbabies as me. Lately if you ask a question, and your not standard or maybe have something usually different you can get bomded..I just wish that some of the people that start this would realize that most of us are here because of the love with have for animals and not treat some like we are stupid or not perfection...There is no need of being rude if you ask a question....

| Thank you for starting this thread. I quit posting for a bit because I got crucified for saying something that meant nothing but I read a post quickly, made a "first thought in my head" response since no one had responded to the original post, but by the time I got it posted, others had. It was then that I realized I shouldn't have said what I said and tried to edit it, but it was too late. There was nothing I could do but hope it just got read over but someone caught it and WHAM. I now feel like an outcast simply because I was not aware of the situation. I think people sometimes read too fast and misinterpret things that are said in complete innocense. But instead of just giving someone the benefit of doubt and letting it go, they have to blast the person, embarrass the heck out of them, make them feel small and belittled, and hurt their feelings. I've noticed alot more bitterness in some of the responses like these and it is unfair to those who are only expressing an opinion - the opinion they are entitled to - or making a statement. Nobody deserves to get crucified on YT. (Yeah, this will probably get me blasted again. )CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I wasn't going to say much....I've seen it ALL here - and think for the most part -this site does really really good considering how big it is...(there are some other sites that are way worse). I don't agree with totally bashing someone - but sometimes a thread can really interesting when people are seeing opposite ends of things - that's how people learn...you take what you want - and leave what you don't need.but things DO go off track sometimes and to me - that's just normal....Look at it this way - when's the last time you and 2 women friends got together and STAYED on a subject ? I think 99% of the time - the threads do stay on topic - its just the few that get a little heated that people remember and FLOCK to. It's funny - we see people saying they don't like it - but those are the threads that always.... and I mean ALWAYS.... get the most views. It's our version of Yorkie Reality TV |

| Thank you Dragonfly. I really didn't think I would be missed. I don't know why people react to things so quickly. I don't say anything if I disagree for fear of what might happen, but to just say something, that around here, is said constantly and have it blown out of proportion is ridiculous. I love this place and came here because of the caring and compassion of most members. I have learned so much here. I probably would have killed Roxy by now if it weren't for this place. I have always had outside mutts that never needed pampering. They never got sick either. So I would have treated Roxy the same way. Table scraps, all the stuff she shouldn't have, but really wants. Thank goodness she has been healthy because I never knew about all the things that they are prone to or that can happen, like hypoglycemia or collapsed trachea. But now I know what to watch for. Today she threw up white foam and a furball! Took me a little by surprise until a tried to get something out of her mouth a little later and she was guarding it with her life. I chased her all over the house and yard before I finally caught her and she had a huge fur mat off our cat. I have been trimming the mats he gets every fall but I can only do a few at a time. She got ahold of a piece of one and got it out. She must have thought she had a genuine vermine - she was tearing into that thing something fierce. I threw it in the garbage and she went right in after it. OOPS, got sidetracked again. Anyway, I spend all my free time here and most of the time I should be busy, here, too. LOL I am just sorry people get so upset over something being said. I guess since I am not the only one who has had a target painted on me, I will get my fingers back to typing. Thank you again, Dragonfly. It feels better not being alone.

| I know what your talking about, it mostly happens to the newbies. It happened to me when I first joined. Some just think they know it all and this world is just too big to know it all, you can learn something new everyday if your open to it. Sometimes I will even side with the newbies even if I don't agree on what they are saying. I will just agree with them because I hate when they all gang up on one person, I guess it makes them feel special, that they belong somewhere . This one post just got way OUT OF CONTROL when this lady said she sells her puppies at 6 weeks. Where did all the attacking prove, the lady still got all her puppies sold and ended her membership here on YT. When I see those kinds of posts now I just go to a different thread. V is right though those are the threads that get the most views but, although there are those crazy threads there is alot of good stuff and nice people here YT. I know I view them just see who are the most rude and think they know it all, so when I ask a question I will know who to stay away from. I wish we could all just get along if you don't agree on something so be it explain it to the person in a way that is not rude and leave it alone, don't keep going back and posting rude comments. If the person starts getting rude after you nicely told them you did not agree then be the bigger person and walk away (or should I say go to another thread). Sorry just had to vent along with you

| See Villette is one of the reasons I stick around here she is one of the nice ones on YT and makes it fun, and if she does not agree with something she will explain it to them in a nice way. She doesn't start making little rude comments.

| Brenda, You're completely not out of line for thinking this way. I agree that we're all adults and should be mature about it. My boyfriend is on another forum all the time and people get their panties in a wad over retarded things. Kudos to you for being the one to bring it up!

Though I have seen you get a "little" angry at...someone...( )...sometimes V, but that's only cuz I've been around here for a while. ![]() But I agree with this thread. We all need to sip hot chocolate while sitting around the campfire singing "Kumbayah"! Seriously though, we should all be nice to each other. I come to this site to get AWAY from the drama of the real world!

| I know things can get heated here...but I also know we are a great group of people. I love this forum and all of you here. I love that I can come here and chat about my furbabies and know that each of you feel as passionate about your dogs and I do about mine. I am probably guilty of saying the wrong thing but if I see that I did I will pm the person and apologize as what I meant to say usually comes out wrong and I certainly wouldnt want to offend ANYONE or hurt anyones feelings. I respect all of your opinions and learn so much from each and everyone of you!!! Time for a group hug!! Dawn |

I think that's the only person I EVER saw that pushed so many peoples buttons and loved every minute of it....Lucky for us - that's not normal for boards ...but yes... I know just what you mean. I guess that's why I think the site is so much better - we may have a few thread here and there that get a little heated - but not the constant debates over and over by the same person like before.... | |
