just have to get something off my chest Have you ever noticed when someone posts a thread how it just takes off in a completely different direction? Just one little word can throw people into a tizzy! This is a site that is SUPPOSED to bring people together with their likes and dislikes. We are not all the same...what kind of world would this be if we were..BOOOOORIIIIING!! So somebody uses a word that somebody doesn't like...SO WHAT! if it offends you don't read the rest of the post! We are ALL guilty of doing this at one time or another...I don't think it's right to get so upset with a person and make them feel like crap...I have read ALOT of posts on here that I didn't agree with or made me angry...instead of making my thoughts public...I kept them to myself and carried on to the next post. I'm sure I am going to get blasted for this but, this is how I am feeling right now...I just needed to vent about this.. Thanks for listening. |
well you can't make everyone happy and some people take things the wrong way or way to personally but we can't help how others are. |

I can totally relate, for the most part I read, and move on, and somethings I stay hidden because I am to afraid to say anything due to being up at, we are all adults and like you said we all allowed to have our own opinions, this is what makes one and all special. But all in all there are alot of very nice and thoughtful ladies here, and I want you to know you are great! |
I could not agree more!! It happened to me. I said something and everybody felt offended. From now one I keep writing after my sentences (I do not mean to offend anyone! ) Quote:

This exact same thing happened with one of my threads this week and I've seen it happen to many others. It's unfortunate. I think a lot of the problem here is that we're all SO passionate about yorkies and their care that sometimes we get a little carried away. We forget that for the most part, the users here are the people out there who DO take care of their yorkies and love them unconditionally. We shouldn't be beating up on each other! |

Brenda, I totally agree with you. When I joined in July I did not see alot of this, I also went through some of the old, old threads trying to educate myself on what exactly happened to Phoebe and see if anyone else had experianced it. I did not see any what I would call blasting. But lately there seems to be alot of it and I am not sure what turned the tide(so to speak). The one thing I know for sure is that it is hard to see emotion in black and white and sometimes people take it wrong and get upset and then it just goes from there. I am pretty sure there are people on this site that are upset with me because Annie is in a coffee cup,(now we all know that there is no such thing as teacup yorkies, but what about coffe cup yorkies? Just kidding lol:p ) but that is the picture that I have, I can not figure out how to get the other pictures out of my program and onto this site. Brenda I also want to thank you for bringing this up, I have wanted to, but frankly I was to afraid. So to you I say.....Way to go :p |

I think the picture of her in the coffee cup is adorable!! We have pictures of Autumn in my husbands shirt pocket when we first brought her home! I think we all have to remember that not everyone buys into political correctness. And we have to also remember that we are only responsible for ourselves and not for others. |

And by the way...your "coffee cup" yorkie is absolutely adorable! |

Thank you Brenda & Willow. We can not wait to get her, she needs to make it to 2# before the breeder will release her. As of Friday she was 1# 8oz. |
Having been on the receiving end of some of those posts, I can tell you it is not pleasant. At one time I felt like I was being attacked by a pack of dogs, only I think the dogs would not have been so relentless. I explained myself over and over yet there were a few who insisted that I meant what they thought I meant and not what I really meant. I had asked a simple questions about something I had read in a book about a method of euthanizing a newborn puppy with a birth defect. All I can say is those people don't usually last long, because eventually everyone gets their number and stops responding to them, so they move on to another forum. It's a natural form of selective reduction. |
well I'm glad you posted this too, I was thinking about saying something but I still consider myself a newbie yet and didnt want to hurt anyones feelings but.............. lately when i have time to sit and read I see alot of arguing as I call it......for use of the wrong words or explaining things wrong..or someone just didnt like what the poster said .so I read and read and really I dont post much anymore...not like I was..kinda afraid to lol so I figured it will pass..... maybe its because summer is over...here comes winter....you know I heard peoples moods change with the seasons....maybe thats it..... But, I do like it here very much, I have learned so much from all of you and I sure do appriciate it :) |
Thank you! They do have lights for people with seasonal depression...My daughter calls them "happy lightbulbs"! My son in law has this as well as my husband. Maybe we should start sending some out lol! |

I agree! and you are right! some seem to come on here and do just that! Cause an argument. And usually they haven't been a member for very long. (hated to say that!) You know....I thought after 9/11 people would change and become more understanding and not reading into things...to come together more (I guess is what I want to say) but, it hasn't. |
