hmmm, well, I think most everyone knows by now, I'm more of the direct kind of poster...if I'm aggravated with a situation, it's quite clear by my words. I use smilies that convey my feelings, sure, but I don't think I've ever used one on here in a mean way. I'm getting old so my memory isn't what it used to be though!



Lynzy, this thread made me laugh because I knew it was a joke. Thanks for the smiles, your interpretations made me

My real intention here was a jab at Sugarmamma, who loves to torture me with them smileys...the smileys don't bother me...like ya all think they do, its the words they sometimes replace that bother me....suppose a smiley is better than the words sometimes...I don't know...but I was just goofing...no secret I don't like em...never have never will I do love a smiley, a real smiley...not a smartass grin in sunglasses....

Double meaning....yes, some of them do....the ones I listed? I made those up in jest....maybe

I would never use them in that manner unless it is in the Banning thread and I'm giving someone a hard time. Like for instance a certain fellow by the name of Mike and he deserves it. . .

Think of it this way...whenever people *do* use a smiley in a sarcastic / mean / immature / confrontational / triggering way -- it really makes them look like a total a-hole, in my opinion. So, if that's how they want to appear, who are we to argue with their opinion of themselves?

There is funny well-meaning sarcasm, and then there is mean NASTY sarcasm. And in this case, I'm talking about The Nasty we see here on occasion.

Just for the record, I always mean my smileys with their literal meaning, not their opposite/sarcastic meaning.

Yes! If I'm feeling snarky, I usually stick to the one. That's pretty straightforward about being sarcastic. I just hate it when people are being obviously sarcastic/mean and use and then totally deny they are being sarcastic.

I am a big emote poster. But I use a smile as smile nothing else. In life, I have no filter. If I am being sarcastic everyone knows I am sarcastic. One of my faves is the happy dance marshmallow

Funny..I often pick the smilies for their color. I used to use the pink one a lot then one day I noticed the tough sticking out ...I sure hope I didn't make anyone mad ( that is my second favorite)
