Agreeing to disagree does include a campaign to attempt to get the admin of this forum to censor opinions even more. I respect your opinions and I hve told you so. I just wish you respected those that were different from your own. There is nothing any more irresponsible or bad about my opinions than yours. That is just unfair.

To me it can be too extreme and am happy the Admin here at YT gives us freedom to talk about all issues. But I do find many of the posts that talk about breeding tinies very upseting as I feel it is very abusive to these tiny animals we all love.

I am also one that believes that yorkies should only be bred to better the breed and not "all" dogs should be bred. I think this "pet standard" is used as an excuse to breed dogs that do not meet the standard and make it ok. Where will our breed be in 10 years? If only a small number of yorkie breeders are breeding to the standard. It will almost be lost. It makes me sad for the yorkies and the breeders who strive to keep them the breed we love.

If the "rights" and arguments on this board is any indication of the mindset of "most" individuals that want to throw two yorkies together and breed them . . . I would agree that culling would be the only way to stop unethical breeding practices that allow issues like LP, LS, etc to continue.

I don't take offense to your comment at all. I realize what it is that you are saying without blowing it out of proportion.

We're all supposed to be adult-like in our behavior and thoughts and I appreciate your comment.

Would I cull a pup? No -- but I would spay/neuter to be sure that whatever issues the pup had would not be passed on to future generations.

Wnalegria did NOT say that SHE thinks it is acceptable to kill a perfectly healthy puppy for the sake of preserving the precious breed standard. She said (and I will quote her) "Maybe breeders of old culled or gave away these odd colored babies for a reason" -- MAYBE BREEDERS is what she said. She did not say that she agrees with that practice or condones it.

Her comment does not change the light I view her in. I still repect and enjoy reading her posts.

Many breeders years and years ago culled because of the genetics today I am sure there are very very few that continue this practice and if they do they do it behind closed doors.

History speaks volumes and today we are a kinder and gentler breeding society. I dont believe there is a breeder on YT that would condone this practice, why must some words be misconstrude, something like look before your leap!

Kim should I demand a apology from you. You have taken my words and clearly stated something different then I said. Go back and read the post.Read it several times if you need to and see it for what was written not for waht you want it to say.

I never said that I agreed with culling. You are acussing me of something very harsh. I also feel that you are once again IMHO showboating and grandstanding on a thread.

What I said earlier in a post is true- when a small child throws a temper tantraum- screams and kicks their feet and flays their legs and you pay attention to them they continue to get worse and worse. The child seems to think they are and really is in charge. I used to walk away when my kids did this and ignored them. It is suprising how quickly they learned through behavior modification that they were not going to be rewarded for that type of behavior .
