| Keep getting timed out/logged out while on YT. I have tried to start a new thread THREE TIMES and each time I start writing again only to find that I have timed out and was logged out and when I log back it all is LOST...very frustrating. I have never had this problem before and never had it time out before in such a short time but now it's been going on for a few weeks now and it is frustrating. Why is it timing/logging out so quickly?????

Administrator | The timeout period is 15 minutes from the last time you have done anything at YorkieTalk. You may want to write your post in a Word or text document, then "paste" it over to YorkieTalk in your post or thread. |

| Thank you. Although it seems to time out much quicker than that lately.

| I had this problem with my old computer and it went away completely with my new one. Have you recently made any changes to your browser's settings? I don't know what made the difference for me, but I sympathize with you that it is irritating.

| Thanks, yes it is irritating. I think it may be my computer - I have some kind of Advertisement/virus that has attached itself and I can not get rid of it. I am sure this may be affecting it. I need to get my computer looked at soon but it's so expensive to take it in.

Do you have a system "Recovery" in your control panel? I'm using Windows 7 and that is what it is called on mine. It will restore your computer to a earlier point in time and may get rid of the virus. Although the Recovery isn't supposed to touch things like picture or document files, be sure to back up or print out anything important.

| If you do restore your computer to an earlier time, immediately check for Microsoft updates or any other critical programs that you run.

| Yes I know a couple of computer "geeks" but they are not close to me anymore - about 2 hours away so I will have to take some time to go down and see them so they can fix it. I have heard of that working so I may do that but I would have to go back quite a ways because it has been doing this for a few weeks. Still functional but annoying stuff pops us and slows things down. UGH!!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | This has happened to me before, at various times. I cleared my cookies, and then it was okay.
