| I did gift exchanges for several years and just got burned out. I would have serious anxiety about whether I had "sent enough" or whether or not my partner would like the items that I sent. In the early exchanges that I did, the gifts were smaller, but gradually the exchanges became more expensive with people sending bigger and more costly gifts. I found that I would buy, buy buy and worry that I didn't have enough so I would buy some more, and would ship my box still worried that it wasn't big enough or full enough or that my partner would be disappointed. Please understand that all of the anxiety I had was self imposed, but stressful, nonetheless so I decided to take a break. |

| Hummmmm here I am again, I re-read my post above and it sounded negative -- I didn't mean it that way. I DID very much enjoy the exchanges even through the stress. I am very greatful to the Admin and Moderators for this very special YT activity. |

| Thor's Human Donating Member | I will agree that it's a little intimidating to see these incredible gift boxes other people would get. I did a couple rounds of shopping because I didn't want my SB to get least lavish box. I wouldn't be averse to putting a maximum spending limit if people were amenable to that. Obviously I did enjoy myself though, as I'm back for more. I have a different shopping strategy this time.

| Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | Aww Amanda, dont feel like that, I dont think they are meaning it like you took it. I think they were just trying to say what they would like, and Im sure they would be happy with what they got. I for one, get so excited making up the GE package and teasing, getting a package in return is really a bonus. Come on join the fun. |

| Well I will admit that I am one that goes overboard on the GE also. I have been in 2 so far and just signed up for my 3rd one. I do it cause I love to shop for dogs and I shop early and buy in larger quantities so that really cuts the cost down for me. When we first started, I was a little nervous not knowing what to get and whether they would like it but that does not seem to be the case. Everyone seems to enjoy anything that they get and are very grateful. I don't get intimidated by the do's and don't list....they help me in finding the perfect gift for our buddies. I would rather know ahead of time that they can't or don't want certain items rather than me sending stuff that they can't or won't be able to use. You will find that everyone that does participate in the GE are very easy going and will love everything. I sure enjoy being a part of it and maybe one day you will give it a try and love it also. It is not about the money or what you send but about getting to meet others and having fun exchanging gifts.

Agree with you!! Everyone has their own opinion, but I would prefer to give something they really want, than something the will have no use for. This is my 4 one or so, and I enjoy the shopping and receiving! Come join, I don't think you will be disappointed! | |

| I have to agree with you. If that doesn't totally annoy me, it's the 50 million threads of people whining because certain people haven't made hint threads yet. I'm not talking about the threads where someone is casually asking where the rest are that signed up, I'm talking about the ones who whine about how they signed up for it to be fun and no one is participating. There's a reason why your buddy is a secret .I loved my first and only GE though... it was great fun on the giving and receiving end and I still to this day cherish everything Lilly and I both got. I just get so frustrated even thinking about all the threads that come along with the GE that I see every day while it's going on "WHERE ARE ALL THE OTHERS WHO HAVEN'T POSTED HINT THREADS".

| First of all, I really didn't mean to offend anyone. And please don't think I was picking certain people out, it's just after reading all the sign-ups, it just seemed like people were focusing more on things they DON'T want, rather than the concept (which is shopping for your secret buddy, right?). I UNDERSTAND health issues and allergies, but I guess if I got something my guys couldn't have or I didn't like, I would just rather give it to my parents dogs they eat anything ![]() There's still some time left, I guess we'll see

| Ok, on this subject.... I noticed a couple people don't want toys made in China, but I can't find toys NOT made in China... Anyone have any idea of what toys are not made in China?? I really want to start shopping!

Sounds like an idea, I really am having a hard time finding them not made in China... all Finni's favorite toys are.
