On a public forum, members are known by their posts. I consider YT a huge extended family. The best way to get to know people to to start posting away. | |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() LOL...If I post something and no one answers, I usually answer myself in some form or fashion...LOL All kidding aside, I generally assume that people don't know the answer if a post goes unanswered. Maybe I was being dissed and didn't have the sense to know it! I guess I apply the same popularity concept I have used all my life. If someone doesn't want to be my friend, it's their loss. What is killing me on here are the posts that appear to be from people in crisis mode with their Yorkie who share the story but never return to share the outcome. I admit my experience on a forum such as this is relatively small but honestly, I take some of these posts to heart and really worry about the little babies. I've been very blessed throughout my life and being popular has never been an issue. I try to treat people the way I want to be treated although I must say that at times on the forum I'd probably be best served by keeping quiet. However, I also believe that silence can sometimes indicate agreement or acceptance and some things I read require a response less I feel lumped in a clump of apathy. Personally, I'm having a blast on this site but then my theory has always been that you get out of something what you put into it. I've never been disappointed when I adhere to that theory. I'm just so very thankful such a forum exists so that I can have a handy reference to being a first time Yorkie owner. Sheesh, at 57 I feel like I have a newborn around having never had a child before! I've even gone through the "do you think she's breathing" stage and confess I have awakened her when I wasn't sure. |

| ![]() I found this thread in a search and read through the entire thing. It started off rocky but man, what great information towards the end. Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond and put in their two cents. Not everyone has the same way of thinking or agrees, but reading all the posts at least allows us all to understand where others are coming from. Really good information to keep in mind for the upcoming GE.
