Fitzy hurt his leg and is still limping

Okay, good news:

In between classes, I called my parents. They called in a favor from their neighbor who is a retired vet. She went in my apartment while I was out to look at fitzy. She said that his leg is not swollen, there's no tearing, and seems to be in the right position (though he has it raised in the air). She thinks it was just a sprain that should start feeling better in a few days. In the mean time, I could give him the pain meds I have leftover from his surgery.

Thank God, because after spending $2,000 on his surgery, another vet visit with an x-ray would've meant a credit card over the limit. I've spent a lot on him in vet bills, maxing out a credit card, having to get a personal loan, and eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and ramen for a month.

But go ahead and call me irresponsible with my dog.

That's good news. I am very happy for you and hope he heals nicely and
soon. Sorry, I get frustrated when someone's pet needs medical assistance
and some treat it like it's not the most important thing at the time.
I am glad things worked out for both of you.

A little bit of bad news.

This morning, Fitzy was still not better (still limping), so my parents' friend told me I should have it X-rayed, so I took him to the vet today, at least to get some pain meds if the X-ray was fine. All of his toes were broken, and he's in a cast for the next six weeks. But anyway, he's pretty much ok NOW. He'll be perfectly fine in 6 weeks. Poor guy has been through so much lately.

I'm so glad you took him in and got him diagnosed. Poor thing. At least now he should not be in much pain and will heal. Thank you for taking care of him. He will thank you a million times over I am sure.

Poor Fitz I'm so glad you were able to have him treated. At least now you know for sure what's going on.
