i am so happy to see Emma doing a bit better today. we will keep praying for her to recover, but even after she does she will need to be treated with gentle care. I always say like a china doll. There are other organizations out there that will help with vet costs to help families in need. I will try to get some names together so you can research them. Some there are a lot of hoops you have to jump through but then if Emma needs it I am sure you will be doing a lot of jumping.
I will pm you these groups and organizations. I will also try and start a candle site for Emma.

WELL... I WISH I HAD BETTER NEWS TO REPORT... MADE LOTS OF CALLS TO MANY VETS AND VET HOSPITALS.... THE LONG AND THE SHORT OF IT IS THAT IN THIS TOWN THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR SEEMS TO RULE. I DON'T GET IT... MAYBE I LIVE IN SOME SORT OF ALTERNATE UNIVERSE BUT EVEN IN OUR SITUATION WE STILL GIVE, WE STILL DONATE, WE STILL DO COMMUNITY SERVICE... JUST BECAUSE IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. IT'S HOW I WAS RAISED AND BESIDES... IT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD TO DO A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR SOMEONE AND NOT GET "FOUND OUT"! I GUESS PRO BONO WORK IS JUST FOR KIDS IN 3RD WORLD COUNTRIES WITH CLEFF PALETS AND ALIKE.

WITHIN 2 WEEKS HE / SHE / IT WAS READY FOR THE WORLD AGAIN AND WE RELEASED HIM.

ANYHOW... BACK TO EMMA.... SHE'S IN THE CRATE, IN AND OUT OF PAIN, HEAD AND NECK ARE NOW TWITCHING EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE.... I AM EXHAUSTED, WIFE IS EXHAUSTED, EMMA IS VERY THIN AND SEEMS WEAK TODAY...LAST NIGHT SHE WAS LAYING ON MY LAP AND BREATHING REALLY HARD AND DEEP... NOT PANTING MIND YOU BUT ... I GUESS YOU WOULD CALL IT LABORED. SHE WAS REALLY & HAD BEEN LAYING VERY STILL SO I DON'T KNOW IF THAT IS A DANGER SIGN OR NOT.

TELL ME SOMETHING.... IF G-D FORBID EMMA PASSES AWAY... ARE ALL / MOST YORKIES OF THIS TYPE OF TEMPERMENT? FUN & FUNNY, LOVING, GREAT WATCHDOGS, STUBBORNE TO HOUSETRAIN AND JUST WONDERFUL LOVING LITTE "DOGPEOPLE". I REALLY CAME TO LOVE HER SO MUCH... i know you are doing everything you can for emma. I do hope she gets better soon. I've been following your thread for the past few days. its very sad. i know the surgery to fix her is a couple thousand dollars and its not easy money to come up with.

Most vets do accept care credit but what some people on this thread need to understand is that care credit doesn't always give you the money you need for surgery. Its highly unlikely that they are going to give the total amount or near the total amount for this surgery and sometimes they won't give anything at all.

Ken, i know lots of people here have thrown different ideas at you telling you that you need to get her medical attention. I'm not going to question what your doing to help her, because just by reading your posts i can tell your doing everything you know how to do to get her help. I would just like to offer another idea possibility. When i wanted to get laser eye surgery i knew it was going to cost me $4000, and i also knew that i did not have this money. So i began researching credit cards that would give me a high credit with no interest for the first year. I ended up getting an american express clear card. I put the surgery on that and put down a few hundred or whatever i had each month. At the end of the year i still didn't have it paid off so i got a discover card with no interest for a year and transfered the balance of the american express to the discover card and was finally able to pay it off. just wanted to share my experience.

Yorkies are wonderful pets as far as I'm concerned, but I didn't know that first hand until a few years ago.

Just a little info about checks. Post-dating is not something any bank will recognize. If you take in a check today that has a date of 10/7/07 on it, a bank will cash it anyway. A check is a written contract between the person who wrote the check, and the payee, and the bank doesn't get involved in it except to pay on the demand of the draft.

Also, most vets these days process checks electronically, which means that they actually debit your account just like a debit card with your bank number on your check. They do this because many people cannot afford these expensive services, and check bouncing happens a lot. I'm not justifying the fact that the vets won't help, I'm just explaining how it works.

I hope you can get some help for your precious baby. I think you ought to try the credit card suggestion someone posted. Please keep us updated.

That baby is suffering how much more do you think her little body can take? I know how being with out money is, Im broke too, But you can not leave her lay in pain everyday like this and just post how much suffering she is going through. Its making me ill thinking about this poor baby. Do whats right and get her some help Please. My credit card is maxed out but you do what you have to you dont let them suffer like that. you say you cant put her to slepp because it took so long to save up for her and you would be able to get another one, who cares about getting another one at this point. You stated at one point that you would sell your car---well, it sounds like it's time. It's cruel to let that baby suffer another MINUTE!

I can't check for updates anymore on this thread. I am so frustrated that this little baby hasn't been treated, YET! It's breaking my heart to think about what she's going thru.

Most vets will take a downpayment. Shes not going to get any better just laying there. People have come up with some great ideal on here, But I havent seen you going with any of them as of yet. People have even offered gifts what is your vets name? This is the internet and its hard to say whats what. Im not saying your not true to your word, but people dont know you so you got to understand that. Its just been so long this Yorkie has been in such pain, If you cant get her the help she needs maybe call someone that can. its better to hand her over to someone that can help her then let her lay and suffer.
