| not sure what to do when I got home about an hour ago, I noticed some torn paper on the floor in the room where I keep my yorkie behind the gate when I'm not home. when I looked closer, I realized that it was candy wrappers. I'm not even sure where she managed to get the candy from, but I have a feeling she ate a whole pack of Weight Watchers fruities candies (the only candy I buy). she is acting fine, jumping up when I came home, etc. the only thing is her stomach is a little big like she just ate a big meal. What should I do? I'm not even sure what the ingredients are of the candy, so I couldn't even tell the vet what she ate when I call. should I take her to the emergency vet hospital? should I wait to see how she is in a few hours? I feel horrible because I don't even know where she got the candy from. I haven't seen any around or bought any in a really long time. |

| I took her to the emergency vet hospital at 1am this morning and got home at 2. they induced vomiting because she was so bloated and I didn't have the content ingredients of what she had eaten. They said if it had xylitol, an artificial sweetner, in it that it could cause liver damage and kidney failure. She chewed up the entire pack of Weight Watchers fruities candy including the wrappers and packaging. I have no idea where she could have gotten it from while I was out. I'm just glad she's fine now and I now have a hefty sum to pay back to my parents (I borrowed the money from them to go to emergency). |

| Oh, Sharon, I am so glad she is okay! Please give her a hug for me. It is amazing what they find when we think everything is puppy proofed.
