Donating YT 14K Club Member | Poor Angel! I hope that she's going to be okay! I know that when mine got into chocolate, I induced vomitting. 1 tsp of hydrogen peroxide for every 5 lbs. They threw up chocolate all over my patio...but all was well.

| Thanks for all the get well wishes. Angel is feeling better today. She has 'eliminated' the last of the foil she ingested... I hope. I was told about the hydrogen peroxide, but Angel was already vomiting way too much and she is just too little. She was already getting dehydrated. She is on anti nausea meds through the weekend and some special food the vet gave me. My kids had friends over last night and they were all glad we told them about chocolate and pets. They said they had never heard that before. One girl said her mom regularly fed their yorkie M&M'S....oh brother...

| I am so glad to hear that Angel is recovering well. That is wonderful news. I hadn't even thought about the foil as an issue in addition to the chocolate. Thanks for that reminder as well. Give Angel a hug from us.

| So glad that Angel is doing well! Thanks for reminding everyone that chocolate can be very dangerous to our little ones especially. Little Angel has had quite the experiences in her short life already. I know I celebrated when she reach one pound! Give her extra hugs & kisses from her Kansas mommies! Thanks for taking such good care of my special baby!! Hugs to you too!!! |

Angel is doing well now, back to her mischievous little self. (poor Bailey) She is 3.9 lbs now so she is filling out slowly, still very petite. Thank you for all the get well wishes and I hope this serves as a reminder to others about the potential health dangers of chocolate and saves them heartache as well as a vet bill. A women in our dog training class just lost her golden retriever due to him eating a belguim chocolate bar and he was 80lbs.

| Pam and I both love hearing about our babies!!! (Good news of course though). Sometimes we don't contact the new owners quite as often as we should, but it seems that life is running us ragged sometimes! It makes us sad when we do try to contact someone to ask about a baby and they don't respond. We put a lot of heart and soul into our babies and that goes out with each and everyone of them. Angel was my special baby when she was here. I spent many nights taking care of her and giving her every chance possible to make it. I took her to the vet several times to make sure she did not have any health problems, since she stayed smaller than her siblings. She is still the smallest out of the 8 in that litter. I have her sister American Snowangel (Meri) living with me. Meri is about a pound heavier than Angel. I believe the rest of the siblings are over 6 and 7 pounds. Thanks again for taking such good care of sweet (and it sounds like onery) Angel!!!! |

| I wanted to ad to Kathy's post and tell you all how Angel got her name.....When Angel was first born her mother, our beloved late Emmelie, started taking Angel out of the box away from the rest of the puppies. We never really figured out why. Like Kathy said we took Angel to the vet many times to make sure there was nothing going on that we could not see. The funny thing was Angel was always warm and fed when Kathy would find her. She was never crying like she was upset or hungry. Kathy took over feeding and caring for Angel around the clock. I will never forget when she told me she had decided to call her Angel...when I asked why she said because she figured she was going to be an Angel here on earth if everything she was doing worked or she would be an Angel in heaven if our efforts failed. Angel has always had a very strong will to live. ALWAYS. She may be small but Michele can attest to this...she lets you know exactly what she wants and nothing gets in her way when she has her sights set on something. I am so grateful Angel made it through this horrible experience safely. Kathy and I were very worried about Michele and Angel. I have attached a photo of Kathy and Angel when our girl was a little bitty thing eating from a bottle! She was three weeks old at the time. You can see how small she was in the second picture of her. |

| What a sweet story about how Angel got her name. I am glad she is doing well. Don't you wish that they didn't like everything that was bad for them? Chocolate kills, but most seem to love it so much! It's hard for me to believe that people don't know chocolate, esp. cocoa, is horrible for dogs. I guess you can't just assume things though.
