| It sounds like she is getting the best care possible. Is her prognosis still poor? I'm praying so hard for her.

| Your local herbal store should have it. Dont get the botanical/amino acid one, its brown. It should be just silver & purfied water. There are no known side effects. You can put it in the eyes, ears, nose. A 10 -50 ppm would be ok for that. You may pic up just a small bottle til this other arrives. Prayers.. |

| I traded a puppy one time and the puppy unknowing to me it had Pneumonia. I kept the puppy isolated with a humidifier in a closed room. I gave him clavamox which didn't help. I then went to the nutritional center and got "Naturade Children's EXPEC". It took about three weeks but, he made it. He is now a finished champ. I also put him over my hand and pat on his back every AM & PM. Hope this helps. This expectorant has Guaifenesin in it. Praying for your baby to get well soon. |

| I had a sick baby with Pneumonia almost 2yrs ago, we used antibiotics that did not work. Then we were given Naxcel injections to give him for 5 days, furosemide syrup daily and robitussin as needed. It took a long while to get better but now he is as healthy as can be. Once I took him to a different Vet for an exam and asked how his lungs sounded, he said he wouldve never guessed this dog had an Pneumonia before, his lungs sounded great. Goodluck with your baby, I will be praying for her.

| I have a small nebulizer. Only using saline because vet said she was on two oral antibiotics and his is giving injectables and that is enough. She is sleeping right now. She is not at a 24 hour hospital right now she is at home. Vet says we are doing everything we can and her feeling secure and loved will help keep her stress level down and allow her to fight this illness. I will go to his office again tomorrow for fluids and injectable antibiotics. To be in a 24-hours hospital, she would have to travel 2-3 hours to get to Raleigh and she is so small it might kill her. Thank you all again for your prayers. I have a strong faith in God and know he will do what is best for Roxy. I just hope he lets me keep her. While she is sleeping I am going to get more Nutrical and stop by the Herb store for the Silver. I'll write again soon. |

| I'm so sorry. It makes me angry because I feel the vets should be more aggressive w/treatment, but all they worry about is getting you back there & getting more money. And for a breeder to take advantage of a anxious buyer & sell a sick pup is very wrong. Sorry again,Take care. http://www.silvergen.com/colloidal_silver_uses.htm |

| Thank you everyone who wrote to me and prayed for Roxy. I am just so upset I can't even think. I don't understand why things like this happen. I probably won't write again here for a long time. It will take a whole lot of time and tears to get over this. Thanks again for the support. God Bless. |

| Having had 100's of fosters/rescues from the shelters, I've dealt w/pneumonia on a regular basis, and am dealing w/it now. Baytril is the drug of choice for pneumonia, but I don't know if it's recommended for puppies that young. (However when we've had REALLY sick dogs our vet has done it anyway--life or death we pull out the big guns...) We do B-12 injections, they go in the nebulizer 2-3x's a day, and we also give them ester-c. Ask your vet for dosages. Usually Clavymox does nothing for pneumonia (it's okay for plain URI but generally not strong enough for pneumonia) Orbax is the next antibiotic given for young dogs. When we have seriously sick, dying puppies we do give Baytril injections, but make sure to talk to your vet about that. Sub-q fluids are given to keep them from getting dehydrated from the fever. Rebound and Nutrical if they don't eat. Hope this helps. We've dealt w/this SOOOO much lately! Good luck, Pam |

| I posted before I read all of the posts and did not realize little Roxy had died. I am so sorry.... It's tough when they are so little. Their bodies just can't seem to fight things as well as if they were older or larger. We've had foster kittens who were fine one minute, then deathly ill the next. We've been overly aggressive in those situations and we still lost them. It sounds like her vet was being pretty aggressive--injectible antibiotics in addition to the oral ones. I agree w/keeping her at home too. My vet has said there is nothing he can do for her here that I can't do at home. I always have a few things on hand: (all injectible) baytril, b-12, cortisone, and sub-q's. Pam |
