| Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | V- can you make me a seal...I want to be the Toad Hunter see I happen to like toads...I do pick them up and when my daughter was younger she would actually ask to kiss them to try and make a prince appear (true story) she also loves toads. ANd funny this came up...I hope tdessaur on here sees this cuz she is on my ball team and I think heard me say this... Okay we had a double header in softball last night. I pitch so my job is before I throw a pitch is to turn around and make sure all players are looking and ready before I pitch the ball. So, I turn around and the left fielder Nicole is walking around aimlessly staring at the grass...so our short stop yells Nicole what are you doing...I yelled oh leave her alone she is toad hunting!!! So, I feel I deserve a toad hunter seal!!

| I'm so glad little Uno appears no worse for the wear!!! Images of turds with frog legs are cracking me up!!! On a serious note, my Sissy tried to eat a fairly large toad last year. Thankfully as it secreted its yucky stuff into her mouth she spit it out. She began foaming at the mouth and spitting like crazy. About two hours later she started vomitting - every hour throughout the night. Needless to say, we were at the vet when they opened in the morning for sub-Q fluids and anti-nausea meds. I did call the ER vet as soon as she started foaming/spitting, but the tech I talked to was so rude that there is no way I would pay $80 just to walk in the door and then be treated like crap. So, I slept with her in my arms, comforted her each time she threw up and then gave her pedialyte by syringe. We don't have poisonous frogs or toads in Michigan, but at least the toads will secret toxins to make their aggressers ill!!

I had 22 toads as a teenager - I collected them - built them little Mud Doughnuts to sleep in ...and snuck them into my room all the time - they used to pee all over the wood floors - my mom didn't like them Here you go Miss Toad Hunter of the Universe | |

| I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Your baby should be just fine My vet has always told me that if a dog eats a frog, it will pretty much only just make them sick at their stomach...and they will probably throw up - but usually it is nothing more serious And Jodie, lol...my dogs (Pippi and Peaches) always chase them (they don't eat them) but those darn frogs ALWAYS spray them with the white foamy stuff lol...and then my dogs will shake their heads and go CRAZY trying to get it out of their mouths. They are suck dorks...I don't think they will ever learn

| I'm glad your little Uno is okay!! Villette's toad throwing contest reminded me of something we would do last summer. Every summer here in Arizona when the monsoons hit, the poisonous toads come out. Like someone mentioned before, if a dog licks one, they can/will die without medical attention. But, we get a TON of them - especially houses with pools. My boyfriend's parents have a pool and we would scoop them up in the pool net and fling them out onto the golf course. You could really get some air with those things! Some of them were big like softballs, and some of them were small like golf balls - nonetheless they were still fun to fling. I think I like the pool net much better than the peeing on the hands though!! ![]() Edited to say: some may think it's cruel to fling the toads. But they do swim and they go in the pool... we didn't particularly want to swim with the poisonous toads.
