I'm so glad little Uno appears no worse for the wear!!! Images of turds with frog legs are cracking me up!!!
On a serious note, my Sissy tried to eat a fairly large toad last year. Thankfully as it secreted its yucky stuff into her mouth she spit it out. She began foaming at the mouth and spitting like crazy. About two hours later she started vomitting - every hour throughout the night. Needless to say, we were at the vet when they opened in the morning for sub-Q fluids and anti-nausea meds. I did call the ER vet as soon as she started foaming/spitting, but the tech I talked to was so rude that there is no way I would pay $80 just to walk in the door and then be treated like crap. So, I slept with her in my arms, comforted her each time she threw up and then gave her pedialyte by syringe.
We don't have poisonous frogs or toads in Michigan, but at least the toads will secret toxins to make their aggressers ill!!
