| I have an appt today, here in about an hour. My pup does not have any of the symptoms of Coccidia, but some of the other pups from the same litter do, so I'm going just to make sure. I'm a germ freak so I'm already thinking of how to get rid of any germs on the floor and his kennel. I've heard clorox does and then I've read it dosn't disinfect. So any advice would be helpful. I will check with the vetr also. Thanks |

| be careful. toxic cleaner like clorox could harm pets.

Can adult dogs get this? I'm concerned about my 10 month old Yorkie, they play all the time together. |

| In the Vet. medical book I have it says to wash things down infected quarters daily with boiling water to destroy oocysts. You may want to pass this along to your friend. |

| Isn't Coccidia something that most dogs carry but only come out in times of stress or when they are run down as in a nursing mom? May be confusing this with something else.

Incubation for coccidia is about 13 days (if I remember) if a puppy has ingested coccidia.

| That's a good idea to take another stool sample next week because many times the fecal test can come up neg for coccidia, but they do actually have it.
