She'll go back to the vet this Friday and hopefully everything will go great. I'm going to be sooooooooo happy to bath her and get all this oil out of her hair. Not to mention the medicine she's taking really stinks. Thanks everyone for checking on her and keeping her in your prayers. This truly means the worls to us. You guys are the best!!! ;) |
That's great to hear, Dina. So glad little Paisley is doing well again. :) Hopefully, you'll get an all-clear from the vet Friday and then you can officially put the whole thing behind you! |

July 20th Update on Paisley Hi everyone, well today we took Paisley back to the vet to have her ears checked. I honestly thought they were all better but I was wrong. Her left ear was the really bad one and then the right ear got just as bad. Now, the left ear has improved but the right one is still bad. She's been so happy running around and she doesn't seem to be bothering them as much, but the infections are still there. :( We got six more things of medicines and have to go back again in two more weeks. The vet said atleast the ears have improved. They are not perfect but they are responding to the meds. I can't believe they are still so bad. I was truly in shock when the doctor showed me the slides. She will have to go back to the vet several more times even after the next visit. I feel so disgusted with this and I feel even worse for her. It's so sad to watch her run from me because she knows I'm getting the medicine out. :( I just hope in two more weeks this truly goes away. Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. We truly appreciate it. ;) |

Awwww. I feel so bad for both of you! That's rotten. At least she FEELS better, so you just have to trudge on. Hang in there!:) |
Poor Paisley...poor you!!! More drops, 2 more weeks...but at least they are improving, so the infection is responding to the medication, that's good. She must be feeling better if she's running around and not scratching at her ears or shaking her head. I am going to do my very best...pray very hard...that this will do the trick...And hopefully won't need any more medicine for a long, long time. |
I haven't been on here for a while and just read this whole thread. My heart bleeds for you and your poor baby. I'm sure you can't wait for her ears to clear up. You're a wonderful mommy for Paisley. And btw, that is an adorable name, Paisley. I hope you're giving her a treat each time you put the medication in so that she develops a positive association despite the unpleasantness. Fortunately, animals don't rationalize. They go with their associations, which you can influence for the better by offering something positive each time they go through a certain experience. Eventually, you could having her wagging her little tail when you get out the drops. |
A little improvement is better than none, but it sure seems like the progress should be going quicker. Maybe another opinion? Stronger meds? (Just a thought). Sending prayers for continued improvement and I'm glad to read that at least Paisley seems to be feeling a little better. Keep fighting that infection, Paisley, so you can get to 100%. |
Maybe you should go to the ear specialist now.Maybe he will have a different opinion. Sending Kisses to Paisley. |
Aw, I too wanted her to be all better. Well, just keep some patience in your hip pocket and pull it out now and then. Pood little Paisley and poor you feeling so bad having to chase her down.:( But as others have said, at least she is getting better. That\'s good! |
