When Paisley went to my vet I told her right away that she had mites but they were supposed to be gone. I told her Paisley had been digging her ears and I wasn't sure if that was true. Well, not only were the mites still there but so were these two infections. :( I hate to say this but after getting only one response from my breeder about this and now I haven't heard anything back from her in days. I really have to wonder if she knew about Paisley's ears all along. I truly hope I'm wrong because I thought highly of her. Regardless, I just want Paisley to feel better. Yes, I'm upset about these high bills I have now and lack of communication on my breeders part, but most importantly I just want Paisley to get better. Money is money but I can't replace her. Thanks again for thinking of her. |
Dina, girl I know you are doing everything you can do to help little Paisley feel better fast. I just feel so terrible that at this time where you should be so happy and excited, you have to be worried and upset about what your little girl is going through. I cannot believe that the breeder has not kept in contact with you regarding all that is happening with Paisley. I know, if this was a puppy that I sold.. I would be so worried sick about her and about you, as it was her vet that missed this issue. I'm not trying to talk down about her, as I don't know her at all. It just seems there is a huge lack of caring on their end from the lack of communication and not even offering financial help if this goes further. You are a great mom to Paisley, and I'm so happy that she is with you where she will be so well taken care of and nursed back to health! Keep your chin up through all of this girl.. you are doing absolutely everything you can <3. |
Poor little Paisley. At some point, the vets costs, the breeder's attitude, etc. all fades into the background and the only thing that matters is the baby recovering and being able to be her happy little self! I suppose it's kinda like a "lesson learned" about people and their agenda. It makes me angry when there's a suffering baby involved. My theory in these instances has always been ... "If they can live with it, I can certainly live without it"!! I know you will spend whatever it takes to help your baby, regardless. Sweet little Paisley has a wonderful, caring Mom and I just pray that all the medication and vet treatment results in her having a speedy recovery! Don't forget, and Toto will vouch for this, "the best medicine is Mom's lap!!" [that's what our vet tells us! :) ] |
So how did the cleaning go? Better than earlier I hope! Poor you. It's so hard to sit by when they are not well. But you really are doing all you can. It's going to be a little rough going 'til the meds kick in. God bless both you and lil Paisley. Hope she is better very soon. |

Aww, thanks for checking back on us. ;) I am very happy to say that Paisley's breeder has contacted me. It makes me feel alot better about things now. I truly believe that she cares for Paisley very much and is upset about this as much as I am. I honestly believe she is a good person and this was an unfortunate thing that happened. Regardless of everything, Paisley is the only thing that matters right now. Your absolutely correct about caring for her. I will do whatever it takes to get her healthy and happy. ;) These two weeks may drag on forever, but I just know in the end she will be better. YT prayers work and I know they will for us. ;) Paisley is sending more kisses to Toto. :D Thanks again for thinking of us. |

Hi again, thanks for checking back up on us. ;) Well, I'm a little iffy about the other ear. I seem to be getting more stuff from it now. It's this yucky brown stuff like the really bad ear. :( I think I will have it checked tomorrow just to be safe. My vet left me a time to come in, so I'm pretty sure I'll be going. If the infection got worse, I'd rather deal with it now then two weeks from now. I'll be sure to update tomorrow on what happens. Thanks again for checking on her. ;) |

I just read this thread, I hope she is feeling better by the time you receive this post. Please let us know what the vet says tomorrow. Hope she gets better real soon. |
OMG girl, I'm so sorry to hear about Paisley. I would have responded sooner but I had no idea this thread had been started:confused: Girl I feel your breeder should have been a little more responsible seeing how she knew Paisley had ear mites and for the infection to be that bad it had to be going on for a while:eek: But I know the main concern right now is Paisley health. I am sending you lots and lots of love, hugs, and prayers from my crew to yours:hands: :hands: :hands: :getwell:  :hearts-en :angel2dl: . Please update me on how she is doing and I read that one of her ears is closed up due to the infection is that permanent damage  |
