| Hot Puppy? Bobby has been really excited today - running around & playing - & when I felt his head it felt a bit hot & his heart was racing. Also, his nose seemed a bit dry & warm. Anyone know what could be wrong? I'm worried!

| Luigi's gotten warm at times too when we play around or if it's a hot day. He's okay though and I just make sure he has plenty of water. The one day I thought something was wrong cause he felt warmer than usual, I took him to the vet (it just so happens that day was his 1st checkup with me) and they checked his temp. and everything else and he was just fine. I was freaking out over nothing. Is Bobby hydrated enough? If he's acting differently, not drinking enough, or if your instincts are telling you something may be wrong, I'd just go to the vet to see. But this could be normal after playing or running around a lot? (Don't quote me though) Also, in smaller dogs and puppies, their heartbeats are naturally super fast (sometimes over 100bpm...even at rest) so a racing heart may not mean anything. I'm sure/I hope he's ok. Maybe someone else will have more advice for you =)

| Thank you We were definitely playing a lot & he gets soooo excited! I always make sure there is fresh water out for him! He gets so rambunctious & his heart races after playing around with his Daddy! He seems okay today - his usual active self - so if it occurs again or worse, I'll take him to the vet! Thank you once again!
