Lol, yeah Miss August is doing great and she sure is the cutest Playboy that has ever existed. Lol. :-) She's so little though that it almost looks like a night gown on here. Haha, I can't wait for her to get a little "thicker" with some meat on that body. Her booty is so little, haha. :-) How is Mr Gizmo doing? |

Gizzy is being stubborn again, but what's new? LOL I panicked a little because he wasn't eating, then found out it's normal and he's fine. Then, he started eating again! Go figure. It's always something. :) I am very glad she's doing better and Kathy's right, watch those cords! Gizzy likes them too and I have to keep rubbing clear deodorant on them every day or so to keep him from chewing them. Hugs! |

Baby seem to like deodorant because she keeps trying to get to my husbands underarm everytime he puts deodorant on, lol. But maybe she won't like the clear kind....hmm... I'm glad Gizmo got his appetite back. They are so adorable when they eat; I love it! :-) |
I am so glad to hear that she is so much better! |
There is a product (spray I think) called Bitter Apple that is supposed to work, but I haven't found it yet. I found a spray at Petco called Bitter End, but I wasn't impressed. I accidentally sprayed some on a soda can and it tasted NASTY, but Gizzy just chewed away. A YTer gave me the tip about the deodorant and it works for us. I guess you just have to try. You might start a new post about this under the "training" section. Or search for "chewing cords". More people will see it and be able to help. Hugs! |
I mentioned the chewing cords thing, because my first Yorkie, Spencer did chew the lamp cord and shocked his little butt...scared me to death, he was fine, scared but fine...I had the vet check his mouth out, nothing major...but she advised that we buy the covers for all exposed cords. So the next day we went to Menards and bought these coiled plastic covers, the cord runs through them, you cut it to the correct length...and no more cords for him to teeth on. Better safe then sorry, and if my memory serves me right they were very inexpensive and not that bad looking, really...and I didn't have to reapply the "Bitter Apple Spray". I read that about clear deoderant too, which would be great for things you just can't cover, but they make covers for cords, easy and cheap. Good luck with Baby!!! |

Oh Samantha! I almost forgot. I really don't think it's a good idea to let Baby have free run of your apartment. I understand why you started doing it, but you're right, there are way too many things for her to get into. So many things I never thought about until I saw Gizmo messing with them. I think you'll be surprised what little fakers these guys can be! Gizmo acts like he's been dying when I come home, and my husband laughs and says that he was fine the whole time! LOL So, I think leaving her in her pen is the best idea OR set up a gated area for her that's safe. Maybe with your other little dog to keep her company? |

bitter apple spray works on Lucy but since she is a puppy I have found that I have to reapply it to the same spot almost every day until she understands that it is a no-no to chew on things. You can find it at Petsmart and its very cheap I think maybe $5.00 a bottle. |

Hahah, they are sooo bad! Yeah Im going to Home Depot shortly to get that plastic court cover. Also a cage coase from now on the Diva attitude has to calm down and Miss Diva has to get used to the cage like most other dogs, :-). That bitter stuff didn't work on Fuzzy but I'm going to try it on Baby. |
How is Miss Diva doing today? Is the cough okay? I put some new photos of Gizmo up yesterday. Here's the thread if you want to look. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86815 |
Checking in on Baby...how's it going? I hope her cough is better, please let us know, when you can... |
