| Emma did this too! She was at daycare all weekend while we attended a funeral 6 hours away, so I'm wondering if just getting back into things made her more active and therefore more thirsty than usual? Anyone have any ideas?

| yeah he gets freaked about the snapping from the air purification system Orek so i have to turn it off and he was panting when i came down stairs so maybe that caused it as he does not like that or when the smoke detector battery goes dead. He pants and cries until i stop the noise so maybe that caused him to pant and get thirsty. Just saw two small dots of bile on one of their blankets so not sure if it was him or the other two. He has inflammatory bowel disease so always worried about that as 2 mos no vomitting. dd is on atopica which can cause vomitting so it is always a juggling act of who is vomitting - usually i can tell by the smell of their muzzles but not today - my maltese demi is easy to see when she has bile as her hair is yellowed need to go to work but nervous - i am sure they will be fine as they are all sleeping now - what they do best thanks for your reply |

| I hope Dexter's okay! If you have any doubts, you can always take a urine sample to the vets office and have a urinalysis done. Excessive drinking is sometimes a sign of UTI or crystals/stones. Quick question, is Dexter your baby who had the slightly elevated bile acids? or was it DD?

| I wouldn't worry too much about it unless he literally won't stop drinking water. When it gets hot outside, it is natural for them to consume more water. Also, you said he was panting alot, and that will definately make him thirsty. Unless it becomes a long-term thing, I wouldn't worry about it. |

| Yeah, my maltese pants right after she plays really hard, and then drinks lots of water. Maybe just monitor your baby. Dexter is probably just fine

| If he's also urinating more/panting more than usual/losing hair you might want to get him tested for Cushing's disease. It can also happen if he's on steroid medication though, and too much of it ends up in his system. If that's the case, it's nothing to worry about, it'll go away on it's own.
